50 Cent Producer Disco D Commits Suicide

David Shayman, more famously known as Disco D committed suicide last night (January 23)

The beatmaker has produced beats for many high profile artist such as 50 Cent “Ski Mask Way”, Trick Daddy “I Pop” and Mrs Britney Spears……oops I mean Keven Federline “Popozao”. The full details of his death have not yet been fully disclosed but reports say he was struggling with manic depression.

His portfolio of artists he has worked with also included Nina Sky and Pharrell Williams. He also created theme songs sprite commercials, the original theme song for “VH1′s Hop Hop Honors”, Best Buy and Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards.

He was currently working with Lil Scrappy and Crime Mob among others as of late.

Background Information

David Shayman was orinally from Ann Arbor, MI and attended the University of Michigan where he received his degree in business in the year of 2002. David recorded his first EP at the age of only 17 and is renowned as one of the originators of Detroit Ghettotech (a urban hybrid of techno and electro, Chicago booty house and Miami Bass). He now resides in New York City which is where his rise to power began. He stepped into the commercial realm of Hip Hop, R&B and Dancehall music production.
