I had no doubt that Alicia Keys new album was going to be at the top of Billboards this week. Her much anticipated fifth studio album, Girl On Fire first week numbers are in. Alicia secures the number one spot on the Billboard 100 chart with 161,000 copies sold.
Even though it’s highest opening week for an R&B album this year, it remains overshadowed by her The Element Of Freedom LP which sold 417,000 copies within seven days back in 2009.
Nevertheless, the album is incredible and I personally feel it’s the best R&B release of the year, and in the long run it will more than likely be her 5th platinum selling album.
