Listen to the lyrics to ‘Single Ladies”. not too disimmilar in terms of content.not the most vocally taxing song either. I would venture to say it’s exactly in the same moode as this song

I know exactly what you mean. The beat is hot , regardless of how many times I’ve spun Major Lazer. The dilema for her is she has to release a track that is at least 120 bpm, which is the going speed for most of the heavy rotation tracks in the club scene, so us in the DJ-ing scene can throw it in without issue( I personally can’t wait for the euro dance speeds tracks to die the fk out, so we can go back to spinning grooves again and real dj-ing comes back again. Have y’all noticed the drop in dj-ing standards cos of the generic speeds of everything? I digress..lol) but the track has to be unique enough to stand out while being memorable enough to stick in your head. Whoever scripted this tracksheet for her is quite the genius, cos it ticks all the boxes.

Of course it will be a success, its a track by Beyonce. Plus the beat is outrageous.

For those of us who know this beat well and already danced to it almost every night, her timing for using this is off. The message of the song may be to empower women, but its executed poorly with weak lines. Just saying that considering her vocal talent and years in the business, the contributions she made to this track are lazy and beyond disappointing. Lead track off the ablum too….lets hope the rest of the album is better.

Homeslice, chillout..questionable harmonies? what are you listening to? Granted, it’s an old beat, but not to the N American public. Watch as it re-invigorates the original and I fully expect a remix with Vybz quick time. She didn’t rip off the beat, she licensed a hot beat, threw some empowering lyrics on to it and created a hot summer bouncer which I guarantee you will be dancing to in the clubs this summer.

Y’all spazzin’ out over the lyrical content and complaining about the beat, watch as this song takes over the clubs this summer.Listen, it’s coming to summer, no one wants to hear extensively lyrical content, girls wanna shake ass, repeat catchy empowering lyrics and guys wanna watch them do it and/or at least particpate. I’m a DJ at a club that sees probably 500-700 patrons every friday alone and I can guarantee you this will be wildly successful and requested e’ry damn nite to the point where I will hate it to fuck before summer ends. I can also guarantee that the album will contain quality lyrical material fitting of B’s stature. Homegirl always delivers. This is just the summer bouncer and regardless of what y’all think, this is a homerun.

The laziest thing I’ve heard from an artist of her standard. The lyrics are awful, harmonies questionable at times. The best thing about the song is the beat – which she had nothing to do with. Aaaand the beat is over a year old. She adds nothing to this song. How can a comeback involve rippng someone else’s distinctive beat.
