Big Sean – Detroit (Mixtape)

Posted on September 11, 2012

After a week of listening, It's safe to say Big Sean's Detroit mixtape is better than Lil Wayne's The Dedication 4.

From the lyrics, to the beat selection, everything just flowed on tape.

The interludes were pretty cool too, Common, Young Jeezy and Snoop Lion all spoke about their times spent in Detroit. The features were on point too which included J. Cole, Jhené Aiko, Mike Posner, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Juicy J.

Production included Hit-Boy, KeY Wane, Million $ Mano, Lex Luger, Young Chop and more.

“Woke Up,” “100,” “RWT,” “Selling Dreams” and “Life Should Go On” were all dope tracks that really stood out for me. “100” featuring Royce Da 5'9 was definitely a straight up D Town record.

Pretty much everything on the tape is album worthy.

You might not like Big Sean but he really represented for Detroit on this one.
