According to The Whole Nine blog, Yung Berg went to Detroit Friday for a Saturday night performance at 102.7′s annual Summer Jamz concert. They say Berg and his boys went out Friday night and crossed paths with Trick Trick, the same Trick Trick who beat Miami rapper Trick Daddy’s ass in Detroit few years ago. Now, I don’t know the reasons why, but they say Trick Trick and ‘nem stomped Yung Berg out and took his chain. Both Trick and Yung Berg are scheduled to play Summer Jamz tonight, so if anybody go, be sure to report back to the group if Trick wore Berg’s Transformer chain on stage and if Berg look beat down or not.

Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday for smashing a waitress in the face with a bottle of rum at Jermaine Dupri’s Club 72 in Atlanta.

About six members of Harris’s family wept when a sheriff’s deputy took her into custody.

“I love y’all,” Harris, 34, said as she was led out of the courtroom.

“We love you, too,” the relatives replied in unison.

Harris entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault.

The victim, a waitress at the club, had to be hospitalized after being struck by Harris, and Flake said the woman suffered permanent facial scarring.

Harris and the victim had gotten into an altercation prior to the assault, police said at the time.

Crains Chicago Business reports that Kanye is planning to open a Fatburger location in Orland Park, IL.

The 2,353-square-foot, 74-seat restaurant will be at 15110 S. La Grange Road.

Hip-hop artist Kanye West’s KW Foods LLC, which has rights to develop 10 Fatburgers in the Chicago area, plans to open another one in January at 95th and Western Avenue in the Beverly neighborhood, according to a spokeswoman for Santa Monica, Calif.-based burger chain Fatburger Corp.

We have mutual friends... I've interviewed her before and even got a deeper glimpse into who she was respecting her even more. As we all know, on July 22, Khia released her highly anticipated album Nasti Muzik 08 (which many didn't really give a shit about). However, when I received last week's soundscan, I did not come across Khia's name. I thought that there was some mistake. Nonetheless, it has was learned that this was indeed a lie. Khia only sold 1,400 copies her first week according to AllHipHop.com's Illseed. Keep in mind, I had the opportunity of speaking with Khia a few months ago and I really enjoyed what she had to say. Although Khia parades around the United States demanding that other people acknowledge her and enforce the fact that the 'hood' knows about her, the real question is: why didn't they go out to support her? Don't get me wrong, I was one of the 1,400 who did. But I think that finally Khia's negative attitude and snapping on radio personalities on air has definitely caught up with her; even though she claims that's a publicity stunt.

He was then told by the interviewer that “Trick Daddy accused [him] of working as a prison guard at one point.“ Even though Ross responded back with some disparaging comments, Trick says there’s no beef between the two and said they had spoke as recently as last week.

“I told Ross he needs to have better people around him,” Trick Daddy said. “He needs better publicists, so that he can avoid even being asked those type of funny questions. I been in this game for thirteen years, and anybody who’s ever listened to my music knows Trick Daddy is very smart. I know when somebody’s trying to use me and pull me into some s**t. But the people doing this need to understand what their words can do too. When you start talking about beef, and creating [situations] between people from the same hood, you gotta realize that that beef s**t can end with one man in jail and another man gone.”

So does Trick Daddy even care if Ross was a CO? Regarding that issue he said “So what if he [was]….That just means he avoided something a lot of us in the hood haven’t, including me. Well Well Well, ever heard the term “only time will tell” well in this case time is definitely snitching. Like I told you guys before I knew Rick Ross use to be a C.O. since last year I just didn’t know it was this big secret and that most people didn’t know about it or the fact that this cat has been denying it.

Ross (real name: William Leonard Roberts) was appointed a prison guard in December 1995 at a salary of $22,913.54, according to the below personnel record, which was provided to TSG by Jo Ellyn Rackleff, a DoC spokesperson. The rapper’s social security number is identical to that of the jail guard. According to the official document, Ross was earning $25,794.34 when he left the department in June 1997. After graduating from the DoC training academy, Ross was assigned to the South Florida Reception Center in Dade County (the lockup is one of three statewide that serves as an intake facility for new prisoners).

I didn’t care that he was a C.O., the Trilla album is still fire but once he once he denied it, it’s only a matter of time before life provides to the proof about who you really are and who knows maybe he did move major weight after he left the force, maybe he made connection with inmates who had connects but you messed up by lying and now you look phony and the greatest rapper alive co-sign you.

Yung Joc is headed to court today (July 14) to argue against claims that he owes almost $25,000 dollars for audio enhancements made to his car.

It has been reported that the court case involves Yung Joc and a company that is called StereoTypes.

StereoTypes have alleged that the rapper, real name Jasial Robinson, did not settle a bill with the company after they installed an expensive stereo system in his car.

The court documents state that the total cost of the service carried out by SteroTypes for Yung Joc came to nearly $25,000 dollars.

The trial is set to take place at the Fulton County Courthouse later today (July 14th).

In related news, Yung Joc has recently inked a one-off deal with Jive records for his Swagg Team Entertainment label and is gearing up for the release of the debut album from the rap group Hot Stylz.

Hot Stylz’ “Your Mama Got A Moustache” is set to drop sometime in the summer.

Now I already made it clear that their was no buzz around this T.O.S. album and sure enough the numbers confirm that. Billboards places G-Unit’s T.O.S. album first week sales at 102,000, which would have been great for any other artist but when your 50 Cent someone that basses his whole career on having big numbers this is not a good look.

G-Unit’s sophomore set, “T.O.S. (Terminate on Sight)” (G-Unit/Interscope) debuts at No. 4 with 102,000. The crew’s 2003′s debut album, “Beg For Mercy,” started at No. 1 with 377,000.

I can already see Young Buck, The Game and Fat Joe running to the studio right now to launch some missiles at the Unit’s poor record sales. Me being a G-Unit fan I personally think the album should have been better and 50 Cent should have involved more in the promotional process of the album instead of being promoting a movie that will not be in theaters months from now.

Truth be told the Return Of The Body Snatchers and 50 Cent and Mr. Cee mixtapes were actually more enjoyable than the T.O.S album (still bumping the 50 and Mr. Cee joint). The new G-Unit has become less about the music and more about the drama. If 50 Cent wants to reclaim his thrown as the king of the charts he will have to return to that original G-Unit energy that his fans couldn’t get enough of. Without that I don’t see 50 Cent’s new album selling a million his first week.

TMZ has learned hip-hop artist Nate Dogg was arrested around 8:30 AM PT this morning while driving on the 405 in L.A.

Cops tell us Nate’s estranged wife called into 911 freaking out as she was driving, claiming Nate was making death threats against her and “dangerously” following her as she drove down the road. The CHP stopped them both, and after interviewing both parties, arrested him for making terrorist threats and driving on a suspended license.

A jury has acquitted R. Kelly on all counts at child pornography trial in Chicago.

Kelly was charged with 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl, who prosecutors say was as young as 13. If convicted, he would have faced a minimum of four years in prison and a maximum of 15 years.

If their numbers are correct, that would be about double the opening figure for 2008’s current record-holder, Mariah Carey’s E=MC2, which opened with 443,000 copies. “The accounts were bullish by 10 in the morning,” reports Pat Monaco, exec VP of sales for the Universal Motown Republic Group. “The sales the first few hours were exceeding the rate that the Kanye album sold a year ago.” (That one ended up selling 957,000 the first week; nothing has come close since.) “Wayne was one of these records that, because it was so highly anticipated, with the leaks and everything, it caused more people to go out at 8 in the morning to buy the CD.”

Now, the judge in the case has ordered for him to show up in court TODAY or be thrown in jail. This is after a woman from Atlanta testified, properly identifying R. Kelly and his teenage courterpart as being in the video AFTER she also participated in a threesome with the young girl and R. Kelly. However, her crediability has been damaged after she admitted to having once stole Kelly’s $20,000 watch from a hotel, where she had been staying since she quit her job in Atlanta to be with him.

Hmm… I wonder if Kells is going to write a soap about this drama…..

Anyways, I’m not sure if I exactly have $13.99 to buy this CD but if it’s on sale at Target still for $9.99 I just might go buy it. Besides, I’m still bitter about the time I was about 13 and Usher was on a promo tour for his sophomore LP My Way. He was scheduled to make an appearance at a skating rink, which I freqented anyways, but I stood in line for about two hours in the middle of below zero temperatures… paid $40 to get in and his ass left after standing in the building for about 3 minutes SO YES BITCHES, I AM BITTER. Well I was apparently chosen and received a call from a man name Dave or David who said he worked with “A Popular Video Model Agency.” Dave and I conversed for like an hour about the video shoot (he was trying to convince me). He told me that there would be a lot of weed smoking, coke snorting, drinking, butt naked girls and sex on the set of the shoot because that’s how Hot rapper and his crew get down. Then Dave proceeded to tell me that all of the women at the shoot was down for having sex with Hot rapper’s and/or his crew. He asked me if I would be down with “f***ing” to keep a spot on the video and if I drank or smoked. He told me that the men on the set would treat me like a hoe so I should act like one. I told him that I didn’t feel as though I should have to f**k someone just to get in a video. He told me that women do it all the time and how do i think the Melyssa Fords, Buffie’s and Angel Lola’s got put on. With keeping in mind 50 is in location for a movie, how could he possibly have been in New York to set the house on fire and get back to Louisiana without being noticed? Perhaps he paid someone to do his dirty work. Even if he did, how could someone start that big of a fire without leaving the scene smelling like gasoline? It should be totally impossible for the fire to be a one man’s job. Investigators have since then revealed that there was a 5 gallon gas tank found near the house. Maybe they will be able to find some type of microscopic evidence with the gas can and perhaps they won’t. Furthermore, if someone had broken into the house as Shaniqua alleges then why hasn’t there been a police report brought forth? Normally when someone breaks into someone’s home, the person who lives there typically files a police report. But she didn’t file one (and if she did it hasn’t been revealed) and then an hour later her house goes up in flames and her five children barely escaped.

Since the fire, Shaniqua has been quoted as challenging 50’s parental skills by saying “tell him to call his son!” Maybe Shaniqua is utilizing this moment to expose 50, win the lawsuit, and get the judge to see that she needs more monthly revenue to live in an undisclosed location from his deranged father (used as a figure of speech).

What really had happened was…

I think Shaniqua got mad after the fight, called her estranged boyfriend or booty call over for some love and affection to ease her mind of the drama. Got some. Went to the bathroom dissatisfied, ran a bath, smoked a cigarette while playing Tweet’s “Smoking Cigarettes”, dranked some wine and had flash backs of Waiting to Exhale. Then, she went into her car, got her gas can, called herself setting some of 50s personal items on fire and ended up burning down the house. However, here’s the kicker: when she realized she couldn’t control the small fire, she ran to get her kids out of bed, called 911 and barely escaped.

Think about it. Why else was she awake at 5AM?

After entering the rap game at the age of 13 under the tutelage of Jermaine Dupri and Snoop Dogg, Bow Wow has decided to bow out of the Hip Hop game and focus on acting. Over the last several years Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss, has seen his acting resume increase with roles in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Roll Bounce and the upcoming films Patriots and Driving Lessons.

“After 16 years in the music industry and six successful albums, I’ve decided to shift my energy to something else I’m passionate about, acting,” Bow Wow tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m going to try to be the next Will Smith.” Since the rapper-turned-actor is 21, his reference of “16 years” likely includes his 1992 appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show at the age of 5.

Prior to his announcing his decision, Bow Wow began recording material for his seventh album, H.I.M. (History In the Making). The album is expected to be released late in 2008, and Bow Wow would not definitively state if it would be his last. In the meantime, Bow Wow will take a recurring role in the upcoming season of HBO’s Entourage. Bow Wow will be cast as Charlie, a stand-up comic who is a client of Kevin Connoly’s character Eric Murphy.

50 Cent In Talks For $300M Fox/Myspace Deal – includes touring, Website and Film Projects

If everything goes according to plan, by next year 50 Cent will be one of the richest and most powerful men in all of entertainment. 50 Cent is in the midst of putting together one of the most comprehensive entertainment deals ever signed.

According to sources, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson” is on the verge of signing a 10 year deal which will give News Corp far reaching control over the 50 Cent brand. And the deal is also poised to launch the company’s MySpace Records into the big leagues.

At least half of the deal will be in stock. 50 Cent will be one of the largest shareholders of News Corp. when the deal is done. Some of the terms of the proposed deal include:

-50 Cent’s website Thisis50.com, one of the fastest growing websites in the world, will be acquired and run by News Corp

-The multi-platinum 50 Cent and his G-Unit artists will move to a new G-Unit label created under MySpace Records.

-50 Cent and G-Unit music publishing

-G-Unit book deal

-all of 50′s concert touring would be marketed and sold through a newly created News Corp entity

-50 would get his own production studio to put out film and tv projects.

While nothing has been finalized, the deal is scheduled to go into effect in 2009 , after 50 Cent and G-Unit fulfill their album requirements with Interscope Records.

Rapper T.I. was expected to plead guilty Thursday to federal weapons charges and will face prison time, according to two people familiar with his case.

The 27-year-old singer, whose real name is Clifford Harris, was expected to be sentenced to 1,500 hours of community service talking to youth groups around the country, followed by about 12 months in prison, according to two people familiar with the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plea deal had not been finalized yet Thursday morning.
