Diddy Named Richest In Hip Hop, (2nd was Jay-Z, Dr. Dre was 3rd, Birdman 4th and 50 Cent was 5th)

Diddy $550 Million

Diddy has been one of the more impactful figures in hip hop for more than a decade. One way he’s been able to maintain a high level of success for so long is due to his dexterity and skill of continually promoting his several brands as well as himself. That’s allowed him to delve into other businesses outside of music such as his stake in Ciroc Vodka, which has been highly profitable. He’ll even be looking to start his own cable network by next year. These business ventures will pad his wallet and increase his $550 million worth up to billionaire status.

Jay-Z $460 Million

It didn’t take long for Jay-Z to enact what he meant by his lyrics “I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man…” as the Brooklyn artist has certainly shown his intelligence in other aspects of life away from the recording studio. Even though he continues to make music and was on the Watch the Throne tour along with Kanye West not too long ago, it’s been his other business deals that have landed him a $460 million net worth. The selling of Rocawear, a $150 million deal with Live Nation, his stake in the 40/40 Club and an ownership piece of the New Jersey Nets have made him one of the wealthiest in hip hop.

Dr. Dre $260 Million

Dr. Dre started a revolution of sorts in hip hop, as he and several other West Coast artists were really the first to lyrically bash law enforcement, changing the style of gangster rap for years to come. He's been influential in starting the careers of some of hip hop’s greatest rappers, and has used his producing expertise to become highly recommended and earn him a $260 million net worth. Dre was paid $300 million to purchase more than half of the stake in Beats Electronica, making his cut $85 million, not to mention that his Beats Headphones are of the most popular today.

Birdman $125 Million

Birdman and his brother Slim have been at the helm of Cash Money Records for almost two decades now, and back in 1998 their distribution deal with Universal was worth a whopping $30 million. Once Lil Wayne became one of hip hop’s rap mega stars, the label was able to recruit the highly talented Drake and Nicki Minaj, who've been dominating the charts in recent years. With their current Universal deal coming to an end, there’s the possibility that Birdman’s worth will increase from its current $125 million, as many will want to distribute the label's music.

50 Cent $110 Million

50 Cent shot right to the top as soon as his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ landed at retail stores and sold extremely well in its first weeks of release. Since then, the kid from Queens has dropped several more albums, but when he agreed to a $100 million deal with Vitamin Water in 2007, that opened the door to other business opportunities. He has since inked a $200 million deal with a production company to create more films, and his SMS headphone line has been well documented, allowing him to rake in $110 million. Why do people hate seeing this (people getting money and showing)? When I see this, I get super motivated to keep grinding and push my company (Covanant) even further.

Fight: Drake & Crew Scuffle with Bouncers in London

Drake and his crew went out for night on the town in London and got off to a less than spectacular start when he and his entourage got into a little scuffle with bouncers at the Funky Buddha Club in Mayfair. The misunderstanding was eventually settled and Drizzy and his crew went if to party in the club. We all know Drizzy ain't throwing down, he's not that guy. Just make hits and smash bad chicks, that's the lane. Sidebar though, how is this guy a GQ cover holder - I've yet to see him rock anything that would make me say "that shit right there is tough," I'm just saying. Drake's facial expressions = Classic! As many already know, Justin Bieber has grown up from the young teenage boy that we all saw when he first appeared in the music industry. He's now shown that aside from being a great singer and a very talented dancer, he's also got some real skills in the rapping realm as well. In his newest single, "Boyfriend", produced by Mike Posner, Bieber raps for a good portion of the song, showing that he is capable of carrying a song by rapping full verses, and providing his vocals only for the hooks. He admitted that there won't be too much more rap to appear on his album Believe, however he will definitely drop some more bars in the future. "There's not a lot of rapping on the album. As people know, I'm a singer, and I don't want to get people confused with that, but it's something that I love to do, so you guys will definitely hear more of it." Mike Posner who recently spent time with Bieber working on his instant hit single Boyfriend, spoke up about Bieber's growth over the years, and how he has what it takes to produce hot hip-hop music as well as pop music. "I think we've all known Justin since he was 13, and that's not the kid I was in the studio with anymore," Posner said. "He's an 18-year-old. President Barack Obama holds a special place in his heart for Kanye West's hometown of Chicago, but he doesn't hold the rapper in such high esteem. After the Taylor Swift VMA fiasco Obama called Kanye a "jackass," and it seems his feelings haven't wavered much in three years. During a brief interview with David Samuels of The Atlantic Obama was asked which rapper he prefers more, Kanye or Jay-Z? He responded by saying, "Jay-Z. Although I like Kanye. He's a Chicago guy. Smart. He's very talented." When Samuels asked him about calling Kanye a jackass, he didn't shy away from his feelings. "He is a jacka$$. But he's talented." Although "The Tomb" is not scheduled to be released until 2013, and filming hasn't even begun yet, the details involving plot, characters, directors, etc, have all been released to the public already. Stallone and Scharzenegger will be hitting the big screen for yet another action-thriller, and this time they're bringing Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson with them for the fun. Stalone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jim Caviezel share star roles, and Oscar nominated Amy Ryan takes the spotlight as the lead female actress in the film. 50 Cent's role is a little uncertain at the moment, but fans can expect him to be throwing hands or getting into some kind of crazy action scene at least once. 50 Cent admitted that he has regrets about some of his business decisions. The rapper told Rachel Ray that he feels that, had it not been for some missteps, he could be even bigger today than he is. 50 blames his mixing friendship with business as one reason for the mistakes. "Personally, I have to be conscious not to overly invest myself in people because I'm personable and I start to develop relationships," 50 said. "Let's just say an easy job, a hard job to do, you forget you're working and when people have a comfortable work environment, they do things and you kind of let them go for a while and it kind of becomes uncomfortable and you have to get rid of them. ... [You have] to keep those boundaries. When you're exercising that whistle-while-you-work concept 'cause you're enjoying yourself and you're doing what you're passionate about, it's tough for you to look at each individual's performance and actual space -- there's been a lot of mistakes made in my career that have gone unseen because the projects were successful projects. But people made a lot of mistakes behind the scenes that could have made it a little bigger and better."

Despite much flak from both critics and fans alike accusing "Starships" of representing a clear transition into a Pop music phase, the record has sold over one million copies. This week, "Starships", sold 174k copies, surpassing the million needed for platinum certification, and it is believed to be her most successful single since "Superbass". In addition her new single 'Right By My Side' featuring Chris Brown is the most added song on radio this week. Right By My Side I can understand but Starships, Really? There's 1 million plus people out there that actually like that ? I had to go back and give it a another listen to make sure I wasn't trippin, and nope it's still trash. But I guess once you've crossed over into pop land, some things get lost in translation for us Hip-Hop fans. Maybe it was the pics from the 'Starships' video shot.

Doing the Super Bowl with Madonna doesn't really change Nicki Minaj's personal goals. My goal right now is still to put out Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, sell five million copies eventually, and tour every country in the world. That's what I've been working toward. So while the world is talking about, "Oh my God, I can't believe Nicki Minaj was at the Super Bowl!" I'm mixing and mastering my music. In my scheme of things it's way bigger. Because those surprises can't replace the things you want to achieve by yourself? Because my goal the whole time has been for people to see me as a stand-alone artist. I came out with Young Money, the biggest hip-hop label in the world at that time. And then it was, "How do I branch away from Lil Wayne?" One of my biggest records was with Drake, "Moment 4 Life." Tyga’s Tour Bus Gets Sprayed With Bullets After Concert, His Artist Honey Cocaine Was Shot!

Tyga recently had a confrontation with some haters during his performance on Monday night at the Sokol Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska. For some reason, unknown individuals started throwing various items on stage at Tyga while he was performing. The Young Money rapper became infuriated and screamed into the mic at his assailants, "I'm going to do this one more performance for my fans, then I'll see you outside." Before Tyga could finish his last song Rack City, more items were being thrown between members of his crew and the haters in the crowd, which resulted in a fist fight erupting. After the confrontation turned physical, the unidentified group of aggressive haters took Tyga's "I'll see you outside" warning seriously. While Tyga and his team began to board their tour bus, massive gun fire exploded in the direction of their vehicle. Apparently, the shots came from a car nearby, and bullets continued to spray and clash against the tour bus even as it sped off for a few blocks. According to reports, two people suffered minor wounds from the gun shots. Tyga's female artist Honey Cocaine was struck in the arm, but she is expected to fully recover. She later tweeted about her experience being shot. No arrests have been made, and it is unclear if the police even have any suspects at this time.

For the over six million 50 Cent Twitter followers who have been wondering why the Queens native hasn't been tweeting as often lately, he says it's because he's focused on creating his new album. He even went as far as saying, via Twitter, that his upcoming album is actually better than his platinum-selling debut Get Rich or Die Tryin'. "I haven't been on twitter much because I been focused on my album. I listen to GRODT over and over I honestly think my new albums better." He went on to discuss some of the producers he's connected with in putting the LP together. "Production-wise, man, I got some Boi-1da joints," 50 said. "I did some stuff with Alex da Kid. I worked with [Eminem]--well, he didn't actually produce the record this time, but we worked together. On the record, we recorded a few joints. Barbados singing sensation Rihanna recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to discuss the recent collaborations she did with Chris Brown. The sudden musical pairing seemed to come out of nowhere after years of being apart, given what happened between the two of them years ago. Many fans were upset at the fact that Rihanna chose to work with Chris Brown again, but Rihanna has since moved on from the past, as she believes that the songs they recorded together are simply music, and music is "innocent". She told Ryan Seacrest KISS FM radio: "The first song that came about was 'Birthday Cake.' I mean we ended up recording them at the same time and executing them together, but I reached out to him about doing 'Birthday Cake' because that's the only person that really–it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician despite everything else that was going to be the person. You know I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like 'Why don't you do the remix to my track?' and it was a trade off. We did two records. One for my fans. Drake may be a multi-platinum entertainer, but one person is not impressed by his talent: DMX. On a recent interview with Power 105.1's "The Breakfast Club" DMX laid it all out on what he thought of Drake. He was then asked if he liked Drake, to which he replied with a simple, "No." He added, "I don't like anything about Drake. I don't like his fucking voice. I don't like what he talks about. I don't like his face. I don't like the way he walks. Nothing." During the interview DMX also explained how he was treated unfairly when he was signed to Def Jam while Jay-Z was the head of the label.

"I see what's really good. You trying to eliminate the competition. At first you retire, then get me off the label and now you're back rapping again," he added as a guest on The Breakfast Club. "That was just some bullshit. You know what it is. That was getting rid of the competition."

How Do You Feel About Rihanna & Chris Brown Making Music Together Again & Possibly Being Back Together?

The web went nuts yesterday after news was confirmed that Chris Brown would indeed be on Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake (Remix)” (dropping next week), with official word that a video was shot for the track as well. The singer had been spotted in LA the night before at a party RiRi threw for her birthday, being more than just friends with Breezy and much speculation surfaced about what exactly was going on at the intimate event. Now whether or not they are back together and the music they'll be making is one thing, but here's my issue. Yes - I think we can all agree that what happened 3 years ago (February 2009) was horrible and unacceptable no matter what the situation was, that being said doesn't Chris Brown deserve forgiveness at some point? He paid his dues to the legal system, made numerous apologies mixed with blunders to the public, even made a bunch of songs apologizing as well, oh and crying at the BET Awards. What's considered enough in the court of public opinion? Country singer Miranda Lambert wasn't pleased with Chris Brown performing at the Grammys nor with him winning, she even referenced the “Gunpowder and Lead,” song she wrote about domestic abuse): I totally understand the why she would feel that way, but again back to my original point - when is it enough? There is no question that musically he's made the contributions deserving of the award and a spot (2 Performances) at the Grammys. The other question would be, should his criminal offences play a role in how he's dealt with in terms of making music? If that's the case half the artist at the Grammys wouldn't be there, not just Rappers & R&B artists either - And if they do play a role, what's the expiration date? Now admittedly it's quite sad when dozens of women flock to Twitter after Chris Brown's performance and winning a Grammy to make tweets about it being OK for Chris Brown to beat them, but who's fault is that? -_- This doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to win. Chris and RiRi are not role models no matter how many people look to them to be so, and please spare me the bullshit argument of them being in the public eye and having a responsibility to the public....Yaaaaaawn! They're 2 regular people who have talent and attained fame, last time I checked that wasn't the definition of a role model. And if you think they're role models then your parents, schools and society has failed you or you failed them - take your pick. Plus I don't know why so many of us are surprised, this happens everyday in real life - girls going back to the men that abused them, it's not OK but that's the reality. The first time it happens it's on the guy, the second time it happens it's the girls fault for going back, plain and single. I said this a while back that they would be back together in some way, shape or form once Chris Brown's career bounced back, on top of that Rihanna openly admitted to how impressed she was with the way he bounced back. No matter what I say I know most of you who read this are going to take it upon yourselves to be judge, jury and executioner. There can be many possible outcomes in the court of public perception, but is this a good move or bad move for Rihanna? Do you think she will receive backlash or will the people welcome the reconciliation? Is she obligated to set an example for young girls who might have gone through the same ordeal? Nas Promoters Still Being Held Hostage, Over a Failed Nas Performance

Promoters that were kidnapped in Angola over a failed Nas performance are still being held hostage more than a month later. Father and son Patrick Allocco, Sr. and Patrick Allocco, Jr. are still captive for promoting a January Nas show that ended with the rapper failing to appear. The men were reportedly captured by angry affiliates of a local promoter Henrique Miguel on their way to the U.S. embassy following the fiasco. The Alloccos blame Nas and R&B singer Jemiah Jah for not showing up. Nas returned his advance, but Jah is refusing to follow suit. “He put us in real harm, in real possible danger,” Allocco said. “This is the closest thing we came to someone up and running with the money.” THe U.S. embassy is refusing to get involved, and the men are being held until they can present Miguel with another $75,000. This is bugged out.

Swizz Beatz Wrongly Named CEO of MegaUpload – Yeah Right!

Contrary to numerous reports Swizz Beatz was actually not the CEO of the popular file sharing website Megaupload, which was recently shut down by the Feds under piracy laws. Megaupload's lawyer, Ira Rothken, confirmed with VentureBeat that Beatz had no formal role with the company. "To my knowledge, Swizz Beatz was never involved in any meaningful way," Rothken said. "He was negotiating to become the CEO, but it was never official." The news comes as surprise, given that the site listed Swizz as their CEO, as well as his publicist confirming with The New York Observer's BetaBeat that Beatz was in fact the CEO. Come on now, anyone with half a brain can see what this is - no is just going to list you as CEO of a website without paper work being put together. This is plausible deniability, who wants to be connected to all the shit going on with MegaUpload right now? I'm sure his attorneys already gave him the 360% on what to do and what not to say to the press. Get ready to see a bunch of interviews where Swizz denies any official affiliation with the company. FBI Shuts Down Megaupload 24 Hours After Swizz Beatz Revealed as CEO, Is This a Prequel To The SOPA Era?

Federal prosecuters have shut down popular file-sharing site Megaupload.com and charged its founders with a number of felonies, according to a statement by the Department of Justice and the FBI. The DOJ indictment alleges that a vast criminal enterprise led by Kim Dotcom has caused more than $500 million in harm to copyright owners, while generating more than $175 million in criminal proceeds. Dotcom founded Megaupload Limited, and has vigoursly defended Megaupload as a legitimate website and said previously that the site took down piracy violators in accordance with DMCA rules. Megaupload was at one time the 13th most popular website on the Internet. Similar sites to Megaupload likeMediaFire, YouSendIt and Rapidshare provide file-sharing services, so we wonder if the government intends to target them as well. The government has also charged the following individuals in the indictment:

• Finn Batato, 38, a citizen and resident of Germany, who is the chief marketing officer; • Julius Bencko, 35, a citizen and resident of Slovakia, who is the graphic designer; • Sven Echternach, 39, a citizen and resident of Germany, who is the head of business development; • Mathias Ortmann, 40, a citizen of Germany and resident of both Germany and Hong Kong, who is the chief technical officer, co-founder and director; • Andrus Nomm, 32, a citizen of Estonia and resident of both Turkey and Estonia, who is a software programmer and head of the development software division; • Bram van der Kolk, aka Bramos, 29, a Dutch citizen and resident of both the Netherlands and New Zealand, who oversees programming and the underlying network structure for the Mega conspiracy websites.

Dotcom, Batato, Ortmann and van der Kolk were arrested today in Auckland, New Zealand. Also coming out today is the surprising fact that musician and producer (and Alicia Keys’ husband) Swizz Beatz is actually the CEO of Megaupload. The New York Post “outed” Beatz yesterday, and said Beatz got his musician friends in hot water for making a music video promoting the service. Beatz was not named in the federal indictment. Common and Drake have been firing shots at one another over the past few weeks, and many people have assumed it's over Drizzy hanging out with his ex-girlfriend Serena Williams, but Com says that's not it. "Well, the song 'Sweet,' for me, was a song where I was really talking about Hip Hop. A lot of the softer side of Hip Hop is just being the example of what people think Hip Hop is. To me, you can express yourself in many different ways, but I was just missing that hardcore Hip Hop, that raw Hip Hop sound, and I was just talking about it." "I was saying, man, the song 'Sweet' was cats out there doing sweet music. Dude must have took offense to it, so he came out and said some things, and once he said something on record, I said something on record." Common said that he didn't intend to specifically diss Drake, but once he responded in concert, that was it. "That was the first thing that he responded and said something. I was like, well, I wasn't trying to address you specifically, but if you feel like you are that person and if you're addressing this to me, then I have to address you back," he continued. "But my whole mentality was that I'm doing this for Hip Hop music. I'm not trying to bring somebody down. At the end of the day, I just expressed what I felt about Hip Hop. And I'ma keep it on that level, just as an emcee. That's how I battle. I don't try to battle any other way than emceeing." Common insists that Serena has nothing to do with the beef. "We know that things can get like that, but that's not what we want for the culture, for ourselves as men. I think we learned enough from those days to be like, OK, if you're going to challenge me as an artist, an emcee, I'ma let you know who I am. You just gotta know what you in it for. I got in this because it's Hip Hop. I was speaking up on the song 'Sweet' about, over and over we're hearing a lot of singing. I listen to R&B, I listen to good R&B and soul music, so I'm not opposed to singing. I'ma be frank about that. But I just spoke up for the art of Hip Hop and what I feel about it, and I want everybody to know that Hip Hop is a diverse culture and it does have that boom bap to it too. Once he said something back, that's when I said, aight, I guess you want to get in a battle with me. And if that's what you want, then I'll battle." A few months ago, Young Jeezy hinted at the possibility of linking up with Tip for a collabo effort, and during a recent interview T.I. bolstered the rumor even more. "Jeezy and I, we have discussed doing a collaborative album. Right now, we're both focused on putting Atlanta back on top where we once knew it to be," T.I. explained. "In my absence, I've seen the city take a backseat, if you will, to other areas and other regions. I'm not trying to sleight nobody's efforts or nobody's contributions to the game, but I know what my city represents and I know what my city's capable of. And if I feel like we're not living up to our full potential, I'm going to gather all the cats who I know who supposed to ride for the town like I ride and we gon' get it back right. So that's what we focused on right now. After we do that, then we can focus on anything else. But first is first." Things aren't going well for 50 Cent and his label these days. In recent posts on his Twitter account, 50 Cent lashed out at his label Interscope Records, stating that he's lost faith in his music. 50 cent says:

I have lost all the faith in the team I’m on. I having nothing left to say I will not be promoting my music. I’m going to deliver this album then I have a film I wrote to focus on. I’m not upset, I’m just convinced this is not how I want to remembered. Ill be honest I don’t think I’m gonna live much longer. That’s why I started my street king movement. I want to mean more in other peoples lives.

I mixed the big 10 because everything I do has to be the best I can make it cause other artist will create after hearing the ideas. This morning I was look out the window. I saw a bird fly right on to ledge. It felt like he was looking right at me. I hit the window he just looked at me like he new I couldn’t do anything threw the glass. I was tripping he sat there a minute then flew off. I’d like to be a bird so I could fly and shit on the world. Then you all could say 50 shit on me. That’s luck right ? Then don’t wipe the shit off.

The numbers are in, and it seems that Young Jeezy's TM:103: Hustlerz Ambition sold 232,938 units in his first week, taking the number one spot on the Billboard Rap/R&B charts and number 3 spot on the Top 200. Common moved 69,000 units for his album, The Dreamer/The Believer, in its first week, landing at the number 17 spot, while Drake pushed 131,000 more copies of his Take Care LP, boosting him up to No. 5 on the charts. Jeezy surpassed expectations for his album sales, which were at 200,000, despite lengthy delays. This is his third highest selling LP, following his 2008 release Recession, which debuted at number one, selling 260,000 units. And to think he did with no radio single either. Congrats to Jeezy!

Dutch Fashion Magazine Calls Rihanna a Nigga Then Apologizes, SMH

Just so we're clear it's December 22nd 2011, there is no excuse for this happening in this day and age. A fashion magazine out of the Netherlands published a story on how to dress like Rihanna. The headline? “De Niggabitch.” Really. Below is a quote from the Dutch mag translated by Parlour magazine:

“She has street cred, she has a ghetto ass and she has a golden throat. Rihanna, the good girl gone bad, is the ultimate niggabitch and displays that gladly, and for her that means: what’s on can come off. If that means she’ll be on stage half naked, then so be it. But Dutch winters aren’t like Jamaican ones, so pick a clothing style in which your daughter can resist minus ten. No to the big sunglasses and the pornheels, and yes to the tiger print, pink shizzle and everything that glitters. Now let’s hope she won’t beat anybody up at daycare.”

Please note: Rihanna is not Jamaican, but we fux with her though. TheYBF asked one of their Dutch readers if, by some chance, that word meant something different in the Netherlands. Nope. “The term means exactly what it means in English,” the reader said. “The problem with Dutch people is that often they know exactly what they are saying but as soon as someone confronts them about it we are being too sensitive and wasn’t meant to be offensive…This is not a ‘fashionsta’ term, we say bitch here as well and it means exactly the same as in English, as well as ‘nigga.’ No different meaning whatsoever.” So that clears that up. And as with all racist slip-ups, there's always a half ass apology that follows, that ends up pissing you off more than the original offence. Below is an apology letter written by EIC (Editor-In-Chief) Eva Hoeke, which was posted on the magazine’s Facebook page.

First: thanks for all your responses. We are of course very fed up over this and especially very shocked. However I’m glad that we’re engaging in a dialogue on this page — not everybody does that. Thanks for this. Other than that I can be brief about this: this should have never happened. Period. While the author meant no harm — the title of the article was intended as a joke — it was a bad joke, to say the least. And that slipped through my, the editor-in-chief’s, fingers. Stupid, painful and sucks for all concerned. The author has been addressed on it, and now I can only ensure that these terms will no longer end up in the magazine. Furthermore I hope that you all believe there was absolutely no racist motive behind the choice of words. It was stupid, it was naive to think that this was an acceptable form of slang — you hear it all the time on tv and radio, then your idea of what is normal apparently shifts — but it was especially misguided: there was no malice behind it. We make our magazine with love, energy and enthusiasm, and it can sometimes happen that someone is out of line. And then you can only do one thing: apologize. And hope that others wish to accept it. From the bottom of my heart I say it again: we never intended to offend anyone. And I mean that.

Google translator might have screwed up on a couple things in the translation but the apology is there, but so is the admission that the headline was meant as a joke. Not funny. Jezebel writer Anna North points out that “this is an especially racist time of year for the Netherlands — it’s the time when people put on blackface to imitate Zwarte Piet, Santa’s ‘servant.’ Maybe Jackie was just infected with the racist-Christmas spirit.” I hate flip-floppers, if your racist be racist but don't two-face it. At this point black people don't care about racism anymore, it's a given as so long as it doesn't affect our day to day living. What we do care about are people who are racist and don't own up to, that's dangerous! There is no way this wasn't racist, it's not like it's a bar fight between a white and a black guy and the white guy says stupid nigger in the heat of moment. This was premeditated, an article was written then had to be reviewed before publishing. Come on, we all know how the Dutch get down, we seem them at the soccer games.......SMH, they're crazy! Just own that racism, nobody likes a closet racist....Be like Kenneth Eng on why He Hates Blacks, stand your ground.

T.I. covers the year end issue of VIBE magazine, in his cover story he speaks on people (namely 50 Cent) criticizing Tiny for not taking the drug charge.

T.I. on people criticizing Tiny for not taking the drug charge. “I’ma tell you, 50 Cent and anybody else, we not gonn’a have no discussion about what my ole lady should’a, would’a, couda done for anything as it pertains to me,” begins his rant. “We ain’t gonn’a do that. I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system. Since me, none of my other family members have seen a jail cell. Nobody. I’m the last one. The buck stops here. I feel that a person that stands behind [his woman for a criminal charge] is a coward anyway.” VIBE: I doubt she would have gotten any time. T.I.: She wasn’t gonna catch it period, ’cause I’m there. That wasn’t even a consideration. Even if she asked me to I would’ve been like, “Nah, you trippin’.” So you didn’t feel you were more valuable to your family, employees and business partners on the street? That’s a discussion between me and another man. Not with the mother of my children. Not with the nurturer of my household.

Rick Ross & Wale grace the latest cover of Billboard magazine. Here is an excerpt of Rozay talking about his album title God Forgives I Dont:

“This album is almost like a movie,” Ross says. “I wanted [the title] to be something that was extremely emotional, to set up a real roller coaster ride as far as the music and thought process. It sounds like a term of retaliation, and with the picture that I’m painting, it felt perfect.”

Speaks on big records:

“I understand why New York’s a huge fan of Derek Jeter — because in the playoffs he always delivered, he always came through,” Ross says. “And that’s what it is when it comes to big records, big collaborations. I was fortunate last year to have a run with the biggest names in the game”.

Eminem: We make jokes about it, but I don’t think we talk about it in depth. As I was listening to his music, I am not even thinking about any of that shit. It’s just the music. That’s one of the things that’s great about it. I’m not even thinking about it when I hear the music. Yelawolf: We do poke fun of it because it’s funny. Like, he calls me White Dog. Oh, you called him that on the BET Awards Cypher. I didn’t realize it was an ongoing joke? EM: Yeah, or Beige Sheep. [Laughs] YW: Cracker Nuts. Whatever, I think it’s kinda unspoken. EM: We deal with it enough as it is. So now, let’s make music. YW: Let’s make great records. At the end of the day, that’s all there is to do.

He finds an unlikely inspiration in the least-achieving student on campus, Mac Johnson (Snoop Dogg.) Mac, a 15-year senior and consummate ladies man, is smitten by the school’s new substitute chemistry teacher. He soon realizes that the only way he’ll truly have a chance with her is if he finally graduates high school. In 3 weeks time, Mac must cram four years of high school academics, while Devin must cram four years of teenage experience.

Drake & Lil Wayne Scrap Collabo Album Because Of “Watch The Throne”

Fans may be disappointed to hear that Drake and Lil Wayne have decided to scrap their highly anticipated collaboration album. Their reason for scraping the deal, as Drake explained to XXL, was because they felt fans would compare it to Watch the Throne, and not take it for it's own artistic merit.

"Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album. We just agreed that it would be looked upon as...It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, 'If we do it, we'll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.'"

Smart move, because that "Watch The Throne" album turned out to be something quite special; and if they were to put out something this close to that album's release and it didn't deliver, they would never hear the end of it. Drake & Rick Ross Working on Y.O.L.O. Mixtape

Drake recently told XXL that he's been putting in work on a new joint mixtape with Rick Ross, called Y.O.L.O. – short for “You Only Live Once”. Rick Ross mentions it at the beginning of his “Lord Knows” verse and that was later also the inspiration for the Take Care bonus track with Wayne.

“I have been working on a mixtape with Ross,” Drake said. “A mixtape called Y.O.L.O. [That means] ‘You Only Live Once’. I’ve been working on that for the last couple of weeks. We haven’t really connected because he’s been going through this thing with his health. I’ve been stashing my little beats and verses.” Drake says there is no release date for the tape as of yet and if it were up to him, the project will drop without a lot of pre-hype or warning; he wants to make it a surprise for the fans.

Drake also said that he’ll be on Rick Ross’ God Forgives, I Don’t.
