Chris Brown dodged a bullet today, after his assault charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor following an altercation over the weekend.
Earlier today the singer appeared in a Washington, D.C. courtroom wearing shackles and handcuffs, where he pleaded not guilty.
According to TMZ, it's not clear who initiated the altercation or who punched the alleged victim, The original police report said Brown’s bodyguard was responsible, which would explain why the charge against Chris has been reduced.
Chris was arrested Sunday morning in Washington, D.C. after allegedly attacking Isaac Parker, 20, outside a hotel and breaking his nose.
It was reported that the two got into an argument where Chris was quoted saying “I’m not down with that gay s**t, I’m into boxing,” before punching him in the nose.
Chris has been released and was ordered to stay 100 yards away from the victim.
He was joined at the courthouse by his family and friends including his mother Joyce Hawkins and Trey Songz. Upon exiting, he was greeted by hordes of screaming fans and media.
No matter what Breezy's fans will always love him.
