I fux with Cory Gunz and been since 2005 and he’s probably bar for bar the best rapper out of all these freshmen but he needs to start putting out more solid songs, not just freestyles. We all know that he’s lyrically capable, now we need to see more creativity on the song writing side of things, he should start putting together some mixtapes with mostly original production along with some good collaborations to start building his brand. Similar to the likes of Drake.

he wont because he is a battle-freestyle rapper, with no song potential. He isn’t creative, but he is witty.

yall niggas need to stop patting yourself on the back with the whole “i been liking him before yall” bullshit lol.
i dont care if u been listening to him or drake since 05 or 95, cause i been listening to them both since before u…basically all that dont matter.

You completely missed the point….

No I got the point…the irrelevance of one of his statements just kinda annoyed me, he makes good posts but consistently gives himself too much credit haha.
but yea, Cory has the potential to be dope, he is definitely one of the most fundamentally sound freshman, his lyrical game and song writing needs to be stepped up though.
p.s. – he does have SOME nice songs, like Preacher Man and D-Boy block ect…but he doesnt have a broad enough ranger with creativity and differnt types of music.

FYI, I’m the one who made the post buddy, I’m not taking credit for Cory, I didn’t even have a site in 2005, it was just a reference to how long he’s been at it and hasn’t evolved accordingly. As oppose to Drake who has not been out as long but is progressing much faster.
Drake is the only artist I’ve every taking credit for and that’s because I know him, and the truth of the matter is no one even knew who he was in 2006 when I started this site and put up one of his early records before the new flow and singing came along.
