DMX: “I Don’t Like Anything About Drake”

Posted by & filed under Hip Hop News.

Drake may be a multi-platinum entertainer, but one person is not impressed by his talent: DMX. On a recent interview with Power 105.1′s “The Breakfast Club” DMX laid it all out on what he thought of Drake.

He was then asked if he liked Drake, to which he replied with a simple, “No.” He added, “I don’t like anything about Drake. I don’t like his fucking voice. I don’t like what he talks about. I don’t like his face. I don’t like the way he walks. Nothing.”

During the interview DMX also explained how he was treated unfairly when he was signed to Def Jam while Jay-Z was the head of the label.

“I see what’s really good. You trying to eliminate the competition. At first you retire, then get me off the label and now you’re back rapping again,” he added as a guest on The Breakfast Club. “That was just some bullshit. You know what it is. That was getting rid of the competition.”

Whiteboy from NY here. I dont care where you’re from, what race… nothing. If you know hip-hop and you are over the age of 25, you know Drake is commercial BS, and DMX, Mobb Deep, and all that hard NY shit from bck in the day is real Hip Hop. If I hear anymore of Nicki Minaj and her whack ass voices or Drake I’ll die.

Hip Hop means nothing. Hip Hop is dead. Only the underground underated rappers are true hip hop artists. But your definition is wrong. True hip hop is poetry with a beat. This is why I cant wait for that new slaughterhouse album to drop may 15th, its the long awaited return of hip hop. Everybodys gonna fall off, Like Shady said, Slaughterhouse is his last gift to hip hop, and for good reason. Also you cannot deny Common calling Drake out is a publicity stunt. It is a publicity stunt, But Common would wreck Drake. Drake cant battle.

Honestly, drake can rap. Is he commercial BS right now? yes. But look at his shit when he was rollin wit Bun B and octobers own, it was fire. He fell off, let money ruin his raps. YMCMB does it to everybody they sign. THe person falls off. Even Drake admitted it in his Take Care album. But DMX would roll on drake.

Yall sound stupid as hell right now B, Young Money poppin, DMX aint bout ish but going to jail and fighting dogs, dude fell off, Commercial or not, Drake super hot and young money got hiphop by a landslide, Common and X might have been hot back then, but they fell off and can’t eat, so they come at rappers like wayne and Drake who’s clearly eatin. Hatin, thats all yall do, meanwhile, you barely got 2 nickels to rub together. Are your favorite artists selling 3 times platinum, hell naw, if young money was so wack, why we the only rappers really selling records. Yall lame as hell

Damn you niggas got me commenting on this ignorant shit from the galaxy sII. Real shit X has been and always will be a real nigga, love the dude for that plus he is a dope artist. But truth is you aint got to be the hardest nigga in the world to spit bars, trust me every hard nigga aint no dope lyricist and every rapper aint no real nigga. Truth is there are a lot of muhfuckas out rapping right now and the ones that you like personally are not the only ones that truly have something to offer or are good at their craft. Flo Rida can spit but I am not and have not ever been a fan of his music. Nas is as dope a lyricist as you will find and is 100% hip hop but I personally aint feelin that nigga either, does that make them garbage, not hip hop, or commercial. Get over yourselves and your wack ass opinions for a second. Drake has a fanbase, DMX might not be a member of it but does that make Drakes fanbase any less real, DMX has a fanbase too, because he aint had nothing out recently does that make his fanbase any less real, fuck naw. Individuals will always have their individual taste we are not all the same person so different shit appeals to different people, all that beefin shit #stopitB.
