The system seems intent on continuously punishing Meek for pass violations, earlier today the Philadelphia MC asked for release from jail but it was unsuccessful in a court hearing. The judge that originally jailed him for parole violation, ordered him to take anger management and parenting classes.
Meek has been on-and-off probation since 2009, due to documented drug and gun case convictions and will continue to remain under close watch of law enforcement for the next few months.
As it stands, Meek will not be up for parole until October 11th, just in time for the holidays.
It’s unfortunate, especially since Meek was in the midst of promoting his new highly anticipated album “Dreams Worth More Than Money,” now it seems more than likely that the album will not see a release until 2015.
