Among those topics was the success of the new single, the comparisons to Justine Timberlake to which he feels there is enough room for both and the comparisons are warranted. Being that they are both white, married to actresses and making black music. He also talks about turning down the second season of Real Husbands Of Hollywood to finish his new album. Robin also talks about getting in the film industry with a new short film he directed. In addition he talked about artists that inspire him which includes Drake, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, the only R&B artist he gave props to was Miguel. Speaking of Drake, Robin also dropped a gem that his second single is going to be a track produced by Will.i.am and features 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar.

Pepsi Drops Lil Wayne Over Emmett Till Lyrics

These corporations aren’t playing around with entertainers in 2013, first Rick Ross gets dropped by Reebok over his date rape-ish line on Rocko's U.O.E.N.O. single. Now Lil Wayne is the latest casualty of losing corporate sponsorship. Reports have just surfaced, saying PepsiCo. (Parent company to Mountain Dew) and Weezy have parted ways, due to “creative differences” according to his publicist. The news comes only days after Lil Wayne issued a formal apology to the Emmett Till family for his lyrics in the “Karate Chop” remix. Pepsi. had this to say, regarding the issue of releasing Wayne:

“Offensive references to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”

Yup that's right, no more DeWeezy ads, vlogs and Mountain Dew commercials all over TV.

I remember the first time I heard So Icey damn near 6 years ago, I thought it was a one of those rapping commercials about some jewelry company that were always being played on Hip Hop radio stations in NY at the time. After it went for more than a minute I realized it was a actual record. I remember thinking how much Gucci was trash and thought the same of Jeezy who was featured on the track. I would've never thought those would become the A-Town legends they are today, hit records and a historic beef between the two made them house hold names in Hip Hop. Now today I'm the huge Young Jeezy fan, I was never really a fan of Gucci but he's had many bangers and the ATL rides for Gucci hard.

As you may already be aware, Jay-Z will embarking on his latest venture as a sports agent with Roc Nation Sports. This has resulted in Jay-Z now relinquishing his stake in the Brooklyn Nets. In a quick letter, Shawn Carter wishes the team the best of luck in the playoffs:

“Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I’m a Brooklyn Net forever. It’s been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team. The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Drake finally reveals how he feels about the whole situation with him and Chris Brown and to a certain extent, Rihanna. We all already knew the beef was over RiRi even though they tried to play it off early but not it's totally clear. He doesn't want the media to ask him about C Breezy at all, and he doesn't like the fact that in every interview Chris Brown always gets asked about him. Drizzy feels they're feeding off Chris Brown's insecurities. According to Drake:

"Don't ask me sh*t about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities, his insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I’m more popping than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap, I did what a real n***a would do and treated her with respect." Although we don't need anymore proof that this beef is over Rihanna, the New York Daily news reported this week that Brown's bodyguard Patrick Strickland has filed a lawsuit against both artists over the injuries he sustained at W.i.P. last June, claiming the fight broke out after Drake sent Brown a note state, "I'm f**king the love of your life."

I feel this will get worse before it gets any better, Chris Brown happened to tweet "Lol" right after Drake's interview aired. So Drake feels he's making better music than Chris, so I guess there's only one question left to ask. Who's making better music, Drake or Chris Brown?

It appears the break is about to be over, his twelfth album may be on the horizon, as Jay unleashes a brand new record called "Open Letter." Kid Cudi Announces He’s Leaving G.O.O.D. Music

Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi announced today on Power 106 that he's ending his nearly 5-year relationship with G.O.O.D. Music. Unlike a lot of other artists who leave their labels, Cudder has absolutely no beef with Kanye or anybody else. He cited his reason for leaving as essentially desiring to start on a new path. Cudi's forthcoming album "Indicud" is being released April 23. Check out what he had to say in the video above. Complex reached out to Def Jam to get the official word on Cudi's departure, and they responded by saying, "G.O.O.D. Music supports Kid Cudi's decision to leave the label."
