The lyrical showdown between Meek Mill and Cassidy is in full swing, shots were first fired on Twitter 2 months ago when Meek sent out a open end challenge to any rapper who wants to step in the ring with him. Cassidy was one of the many that had something to say, back and forth on Twitter eventually turned into a record from Cassidy called Diary Of A Husler, which was highly speculated to be going at Meek. Cassidy then left no doubts on his next release Me Myself & iPhone on which he dedicated a full verse to Meek. After a few more weeks of Twitter exchanges, Meek Mill finally replies on wax with "Repo" and boy did he go off. As soon as the track started, he immediately checked Cassidy on the "Condom Style" track that many were making fun of on Twitter. The record received a overall positive response, though Cassidy doesn't seem to be too impressed. Cassidy Tweets: "Where's the funeral? He expected to kill me wit that bullshit! 5 min song! This week singer songwriter Jarell Perry releases another single from his forthcoming LP, Simple Things, aptly titled 'Whiskey a Go Go.' "Whiskey is kind of an ode to my drink of choice, but it's also just about letting go after a long day and getting loose with your friends," he says. This celebratory bar anthem comes just in time for the New Year. Jarell is previously known for co-writing Fat Joe and Chris Brown's "Another Round," which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart in 2012, and plans to release his own solo effort in early 2013. In case you forgot Pusha T dropped a record “Exodus 23:1,” which everyone took as a diss to Lil Wayne and maybe even Drake, Weezy replied with a very weak joint called "Ghoulish." The general consensus was that the track was trash, adding insult to injury Pusha T a month later released a killer track with Kanye West called "New God Flow" which generated even more buzz for Push. Then there was the release of Cruel Summer. He's obviously going at Wayne on this one as well. Thoughts?

While in New York, T.I. stops by the The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 to chop it up with the crew for a little while. He was in good spirits and it's a 360 from when he was up there the last time. During the interview T.I. talks about finally having the freedom to make the type of music he couldn't make while going through his legal troubles. He talks about the state of mind he was in during that period and how he's no longer in that space. Throughout the interview he makes it clear that T.I.P is back though he does try to make a conscious effort to maintain a humble spirit. During his recording process of putting together his new "Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head" album, T.I. recorded 100+ songs. From he's saying some of those songs will make it onto the follow up album "Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown," which he says is coming soon. T.I. seems to be restored and back to a place where many said he could never be, he has a good album out, big records and by the looks of it, he's just getting warmed up.
