G.O.O.D. Music’s “Cruel Summer” Debuts At #2 With 200K Sold

Posted on September 27, 2012

Not bad, usually Group albums don’t do that well, but 205,000 is good by any standard not to mentioned they already have a platinum selling single in the bag.

The album fell short of the number one spot due to Pink’s “The Truth About Love” in the Billboard Top 200 which sold 280,000. They did however lock down the No. 1 on the R&B and Hip-Hop charts.

A series of hot releases which include “Mercy,” “Cold,” “New God Flow” and most recently “Clique,” all played a role in the Cruel Summer project performing well on the charts.

    best album this year

"Cruel Summer" is a good album but not a great album. This isn't the best Album of the year the best Hip Hop album will go to Nas "Life is good". you want lyrics, sick Production, creative concepts Nas brings that always and he's been doin that since "illmatic". And as for "Cruel Summer" how the hell did Kanye not have Q Tip, Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def and Mr Hudson on the LP when they're part of the G.O.O.D. Music Family. 2 chainz isn't even as good as these Cats lyrically nor is he an official member and he got more shine time then them. Get it together Kanye Miss Kardashian has you whipped and you're losin focus. Take it back to the creativity you gave us on "The College dropout"

It's good for a few spins, doubt I'll be listening to it after a month though.
