Lupe is cool but you have to be more than just cool on the mic, you have to brand yourself feel me.
Rap isn’t in a state of emergency rap is on the verge of changing to world, especially if they evolve with the internet.
How many rock bands give out there shit for free, how many r&b artist give out free mixtapes, exactly.

I will maybe agree slightly on the fact that The Game is a roller coaster having good and bad music being off and on and all that. Rap is not in the state of emergency its in the state of innovation and new beginnings. In fact the only reason Lupe is such a influential sound and rapper is because he came out with his own style and didn’t cop some other rapper. And he was able to do so and be so pronounced in the industry so early because of the state that rap is in. And he does get the respect he is just also on the freshman list and like any star freshman every1 has their eye on him and what hes going to do next and if he can continue and go on to graduate to be a mogul like some of these other names who only got to where they were bc they innovated rap. The talent is out there Lupe isn’t the only one holding the fire or our only rap savior he’s just a new name thats trying to plant his feet and be a building block in this new rap industry ready to explode.

I’ll tell you how it is straight… Game here is a good rapper but tends to be one hit wonderish with his music. Rap is in a state of emergency! It will die out unless it makes steps forward. The only real rapper out there doesnt get the respect he deserves. Look people I know rap! The only real and illest rapper in the game today is under respected, Lupe Fiasco is the best rapper alive. Lupe knows how to rap, these other rappers dont know wtf they are doing. F n F up.
