Soulja boy is a new level of hip hop. We need to have something for the new generation to relate to because we didn’t grow up when Ice-t did. No disrespect to Ice-t or anything. I am tired of people comparing today’s hip hop with old school hip hop. You can’t compare the two together. Old school hip hop (before Christopher Wallace, Biggie Smalls) was about inspiration and not putting others down. Old school was fun and wasn’t about sex all the time or using the words like, “bitches”, “hoes, or “niggz”. I am sorry to say, I agree with ICE T and for those who don’t know, Law and Order, SVU is the best show to watch. Soulja Boy, you suck. I never liked your music and I never will. Your music isn’t hip hop, it’s more like trash and ignorance. I can’t dance to a song while you say superman that hoe. So yes you are killing hip hop. Why not rap about something positive or rap about something that will inspire young kids, especially young African Americans to get a good education. I agree LIL MAMA didnt really have common sense when she made the song “My Lipgloss is Poppin” but she has come up since then. Now Soulja Boy to me is one of the best artist out there right now. He gives you songs you can dance to and get involved in. Ice-T need to just stop hatin with his old self. And i think if he tried to punch Soulja boy he would break a hip or something like that.
