As many already know, Justin Bieber has grown up from the young teenage boy that we all saw when he first appeared in the music industry. He's now shown that aside from being a great singer and a very talented dancer, he's also got some real skills in the rapping realm as well.
In his newest single, “Boyfriend”, produced by Mike Posner, Bieber raps for a good portion of the song, showing that he is capable of carrying a song by rapping full verses, and providing his vocals only for the hooks. He admitted that there won't be too much more rap to appear on his album Believe, however he will definitely drop some more bars in the future.
“There's not a lot of rapping on the album. As people know, I'm a singer, and I don't want to get people confused with that, but it's something that I love to do, so you guys will definitely hear more of it.”
Mike Posner who recently spent time with Bieber working on his instant hit single Boyfriend, spoke up about Bieber's growth over the years, and how he has what it takes to produce hot hip-hop music as well as pop music.
“I think we've all known Justin since he was 13, and that's not the kid I was in the studio with anymore,” Posner said. “He's an 18-year-old. He skateboards with Lil Wayne and hangs out with Lil Twist. Those are his homeys. And he listens to hip-hop, and he's a really cool kid. He's not a corny guy.”
