Swag Surfin is all about the Ms.Officer lawsuit that he is about to lose, he sounds like a little punk ass who got caught stealing someone elses music and now he has to pay up. he should of settled or payed Mali Boi for helping him make the best rap album ever, listen to the words or read the lyrics. I kno-Lupe Fiasco is on some other level lyrically. So most of the avid punchline users (the ones that use basic punchlines). They become aight instead of great before you heard more lyrical people. I give credit to Weezy though cause he got that Jay-Z type formula-let most of your lyrics come from ya head straight to the booth- and also that annoyin voice is cool after a while and his flow is crazy on some tracks and thats bout it.

More like..open your mind. What makes him the greatest? That question has yet to be answered. Put him up against the likes of Cory Gunz, Wiz Kalifa, Papoose, Jadakiss, and Lupe Fiasco and see how lyrics compare. I applaud him on the mixtapes..I have Dedications 1&2 and a couple couple of The Drought Seasons and he was hungry then..but now, he’s lost. Singin’ with that robot voice and we can’t forget, Rockstar Weezy. How many Rockstars are tryin’ to be rappers? Exactly…leave that shit to the pros. That has nothin’ to do with creativity. I understand you on this one Chriss. I’ve been scratchin’ my head about him every since the 1st Carter came out. I thought he was on some underground, east coast type shit because there were big contrasts form his old albums up to there. I think he did his homework and followed his likings for artists like Jay-Z and Ludacris. It was a formula that worked and he ran with it. I still disagree about him bein’ one of the greatest. He has his moments but as far as bein’ consistant, he’s not. The media and people with a lack for taste in good music hyped and pushed him to the top. To me, he went in a different direction along with Kanye with this autotunes R&Rap shit. Rappers do not sing!!! Thatz what collabos are for..(except Ron Browz..lol). I think I prefer the jiggy era over this lame, swag era. Thatz my word!

I’ve never really been a fan of Weezy, was feelin his shit from mixtapes a few years ago. I’ve only really liked a few Wayne songs, whenever he actually tries to string together something more than a collection of words that rhyme.
I don’t like that swag surfin beat? like am I the only one? it gets on my nerves. I can’t even play a full track that has that beat.
As for Wasted. I like his flow on that one. Some decent rhymes too. I don’t know, once you’ve listened to Lupe Fiasco, you can’t dumb yourself down enough to see any kind of brilliance from Weezy. Like his punchlines and shit are so elementary. I don’t need him to go over my head but plz have something to say besides what EVERYONE has been saying. This is the case of a rapper who has nothing new to say or bring to the table. Just coastin. I’m sure if Wayne had some higher thinking he cud create some AMAZING material. Till then, meh.
Oh ya I think it DOES sound like he’s using auto-tune on Wasted. You can use auto-tune without making it sound all robotic, just like pop-singers do.
