Well, just like with good there has to be evil. I liked our culture when it was coming up. Fighting inequlitys and racism. It was survival. But I agree with P about there being no respect any more. The game is all fucked up! Is there any real niggaz left? Probably because he got money but by having money he is now in a position to do something positive and tell us how it is up there like owning real estate and shit like that.

Kudos to Master P for daring to dance to the beat of a different drummer. I respect him for having the courage to change directions even when doing so is not popular and misunderstood.

Our beautiful women are "hurting" today because of what we, as men, did yesterday and refuse to stop doing today. We can and must do better now that we know better than before simply because our women deserve the best that we can give to them. If master P can do it, why can't 50 cents and the rest of the "socially conscious," "critically thinking" rappers do the same?

During such a divisive season as this, God has gifted our generation of great people with an opportunity for personal growth and spiritual development. God's gift has been granted during a critical stage of our personal growth as a community of critically thinking leaders. As you know, growth is always painful but necessary.

As always, the choice to face one's deepest fears and embrace Change when it's not popular, nor pleasant, to do so is always a person's individual decision to make. So, choose wisely.

Respectfully submitted,
Manchild

This whole thing has been blown out of proportion by the media, critics, and the baby boomer's. The deal is that hip hop has always been a money making industry from the jump. The cats that have the most negative viewpoint about this hip hop thing haven't should albums in years. I respect the old heads in the game but a new breed of hungry artist are out here grinding now. For example, Kwame, Tribe, and Black Sheep had there time in the industry, but nobody is really feeling the native tongue movement like back in the day. The cats nowadays are truly spitting about whats going down with the 80's babies and its all true. The point is yeah hip hop could have a cleaner image with a much lesser portrayal of violence and sex, but so could rock and roll too. We as consumers have a right to purchase a product or leave it on the shelf. This whole thing is based on choices and decisions and it seems that the music industry has selected the almighty dollar versus community development and renewal.
