Chicago author and DJ Meta Smith inks deal with G-Unit Books

Chicago, June 18, 2007 — Meta Smith, author of the blockbuster novels “The Rolexxx Club” (Warner Books, July 2006) and “Queen of Miami” (Warner Books, March 2007) is the latest author to sign with entrepreneur, multi-platinum selling rapper, and New York Times Bestselling author 50 Cent’s G-Unit Books.

Dubbed the “Queen of Bling Fiction”, Smith was selected to write for G-Unit for her sophisticated voice and cinematic depictions of urban life. The versatile and dynamic author has penned a riveting street novel, a gripping psychological thriller, and a steamy erotica novella in the span of her short year on the literary scene. The former model, who has appeared in over a dozen hip-hop and R&B music videos, is also a popular DJ who spins at the most exclusive nightclubs in Chicago.

Smith’s title “Heaven’s Fury” will be released in November 2007. The gritty page turner which the author describes as “a neo-noir tale of betrayal and deception” chronicles the life of a good girl turned bad when she becomes caught in the middle of a bloody drug war. Smith takes a departure from writing about the South Beach club scene and pens a tale set in her hometowns of Chicago and Gary, Indiana.
