I thought the Game would of got into the top ten. If only he would drop that “RED” album! Eminem is in a league of his own and he really is lyrically gifted and a level far higher than the rest! Kanye West is on fire! Drake is R&B and over rated! Lil Wayne fell off a long time ago. A bit sad T.I was not in the top 10 but he has been to jail 2-3 times this year. Lloyd Bank’s has done more than Rick Ross…Far more! Who the fuck is Waka Flocka? and Snoop Dogg should of got into the top ten!

looking back though its a fairly accurate top ten, although drake and jay should switch. I think theyre just trying to like pay homage to Hov, no disrespect at all, but he was mostly on features, this year at least. And Drake was everywhere and on everything goin pretty hard, and backed it up with numbers. Em just flat out sold numbers and Ross went hard with BMF and Teflon Don, theyre spots are fair. Ye has been doin his thing but not long enough to move him up higher. As for the bottom half its all messed up, Wiz Khalifa needs to go somewhere thats for damn sure, and no one mentioned Big Boi or Bun B once…

In all honesty, Kanye’s spot is pretty good. I can’t say he’s been feeling 100% as of this last year, but every time he was featured on a song, he went in. Once making his own song, I don’t recall a lot of people saying anything about the quality of it. Sure, some people didn’t like his cocky attitude, but they sure didn’t say the song sucks.

Eminem has been hot with everything. Everything. As far as emcees go, he may truly be the best. I’m not saying this because I’m from Detroit. I’m saying this because he’s always kept on top. He takes his experiences and he uses them to fuel his rhymes. He has earned his spot time and time again.

Jay . . . well . . . nothing said there. He got what he deserved.

I don’t agree with the bottom 5, but as far as the top five, everything is in perspective this year.

Kanye has consistently been releasing hot tracks every friday, his G.O.O.D music team cypher killed everyone elses at the Hip-Hop Awards, he had epic performance at the VMAs and on SNL, and made a freakin movie!! All of this in less than 6 months AND while recording an album is unprecedented. So.. gtfo.

Honestly I think Kanye should be #2 this year. For someone to do so much so fast with that much quality and effort, is unheard of. No artist ever has done what kanye has in 4 short months.. I suppose there is always next year for that #1 spot.
