I must say, I’m quite impressed Nipsey Hussle’s new tape “Crenshaw,” in a 4th quarter that’s produced a few good projects, he’s managed to still stand out. The 21 track tape had no fillers, only great sounding tracks of which you can consider part of the new sound of the West Coast.
One of the most interesting things about this tape was the fact that he actually sold the free tape (oxymoron I know) $100 for and the internet went into a uproar. Jay-Z even took notice of the move and decided to support by copping 100 copies.
What most people didn’t take notice of was that the $100 tape came with private concert available exclusively to those core fans that came out and supported.
