Now Lil Wayne is the latest casualty of losing corporate sponsorship. Reports have just surfaced, saying PepsiCo. (Parent company to Mountain Dew) and Weezy have parted ways, due to “creative differences” according to his publicist. The news comes only days after Lil Wayne issued a formal apology to the Emmett Till family for his lyrics in the “Karate Chop” remix.
Pepsi. had this to say, regarding the issue of releasing Wayne:
“Offensive references to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.”
Yup that's right, no more DeWeezy ads, vlogs and Mountain Dew commercials all over TV.
