After his breakout single "Black & Yellow" became the the official theme song for the Pittsburgh Steelers, It was clear that Wiz had become a treasure to his city and they've decided that it's time to make it official. Pittsburgh council man, William Peduto, proclaimed that December 12, 2012 was “Wiz Khalifa Day.” Getting your own day out of the year, not bad for putting words together over instrumentals.

Even though Beyonce hasn't been dominating the charts for the past few years, her brand is still as strong as ever. Pepsi just announced the completion of a $50 million deal with Beyoncé in return of her position as the global brand ambassador. This isn't the first time Beyonce has worked with the brand, prior representation included being featured in four commercials, but this new deal however takes the partnership to a whole new level. The deal is set to include the diva’s presence on a number of billboards, websites and appearances on your favourite channels. The first chance we’ll get to see the partnership on our television sets will be at the halfway point of the upcoming Super Bowl event, coinciding with her live performance. Beyonce continues to be one of the highest paid female entertainers today, and is even giving her husband Jay-Z a run for his money, (No pun intended).

Rita Ora has been dealing with Rihanna comparisons for over a year now, even worse one of Rita's biggest singles thus far "R.I.P" which was written by Drake was originally meant for Rihanna. In addition the song was released amongst rumors that Jay-Z was mad at Rihanna for releasing the ‘Birthday Cake’ remix with Chris Brown. So there's already a little drama there. It now appears the Roc Nation up-and-coming star wants no parts of being likened to Roc Nation's established superstar. Ora had previously stated that she feel honored to be compared Rihanna, but recently Rita seems to want to distance herself from the Barbadian singer. "Rihanna is cool and fun but we couldn’t be more different," Ora told the Daily Mail. "She is from Barbados and I am from Kosovo," she added. "And that should say it all really." Apart from the being on the same label and having a Drizzy written song in common, the comparison is very much unfounded. Musically and aesthetically, they're nothing alike. Lets see if this leads to some sort of rivalry.

He performed his hit single, "My Life." After the fight 50 Cent sent out the following tweets. "GAMBOA won the title last night with his leg hurt." "He been off 15 months," he said. I had no doubt that Alicia Keys new album was going to be at the top of Billboards this week. Her much anticipated fifth studio album, Girl On Fire first week numbers are in. Alicia secures the number one spot on the Billboard 100 chart with 161,000 copies sold. Even though it's highest opening week for an R&B album this year, it remains overshadowed by her The Element Of Freedom LP which sold 417,000 copies within seven days back in 2009. Nevertheless, the album is incredible and I personally feel it's the best R&B release of the year, and in the long run it will more than likely be her 5th platinum selling album. Get the Girl On Fire album.

French Montana and 50 Cent have been going back and forth ever since French Montana interview with Complex magazine, 50 Cent was the last one to respond by saying French Montana couldn't compete with him on a musical level. Yesterday French revealed a visual for "Only If For A Night" in which he takes some subliminal shots at Fif. French feels he can compete and took to Twitter to fire back at 50, he spoke of 50's latest track titled "My Life" and says that the song is an attempt to save his career, suggesting that 50 is washed up as an artist. French even proposed a challenge to 50, suggesting that they both release their albums on the same day to see who sell more units. He ended off his Tweets by calling 50 Cent an "old man." I'm sure this is far from over.

Drake’s OVO Label Finds a Home at Warner Bros.

The boy Drizzy Drake Rogers continues to expand his OVO brand, his “Octobers Very Own” label has found it's home. Drake and his producer Noah “40” Shebib will be heading up their label at Warner Bros. As of right now Drake is still signed to Universal Records as a solo artist under the YMCMB umbrella. It's a bit odd that the label didn't find it's home at Universal, I'm sure it's in their best interest to oblige Drake, could be something there. The OVO brand is already pretty strong and becoming even more viable, with their annual summer music fest, branded clothing line and now, the label. This leaves the question of what role Drake will play in the YMCMB brand moving forward. Thoughts?

Exclusive interview with Joe Budden. Part 2 starts with Budden talking to Nick Huff Barili about the track "More of Me" from his new mixtape "A Loose Quarter". He states that he had a conversation with his girlfriend Kaylin Garcia before recording the song which gets personal about both of their past experiences. Nick asks Joe about rumors of a track he recorded a while back with Elzhi and Blu, which Joe confirmed but said it never came out because that was around the time Eminem called all of Slaughterhouse to come to Detroit to work on their album. Budden goes on to talk about Joey Badass and Asap Rocky, saying young energy inspires guys like him. When asked about how his solo album "No Love Lost" coming out January 22nd is going to be different from the mixtape he states that he went outside the box and has some features on there that his fans might not be accustomed to hearing from him including Juicy J, Lloyd Banks,Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Kirko Bangs and Omarion. Budden goes on to say that he is not concerned with fans criticizing his collaboration with Lil Wayne or anyone else for that matter, saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion but that a fuck he does not give.
