Rick Ross is gearing up to build his empire, he confirmed in the Source which he is on his cover of for Man Of The Year. He spoke on signing Wale, Meek Millz and Jah Cure.
“I look for next year to be an even bigger year,” Ross said a couple of weeks back in New York, fresh from his source cover shoot. “We just brought Jah Cure to the team. That’s one of the biggest reggae superstars in the game. We just did a deal with that. Look for that first quarter. I’m talking to artist out of Philly that I think is the future of Philly. Meek Millz, I’m talking to him right now about Maybach Music. As well as I’m talking to Wale.”
The Miami Mayor says Wale impresses him with not just his music acumen, but with his grind as well.
“Wale is a hustler. I feel he’s one record away from being the next nigga,” The Husky Don forecasted. “He’s just a naturally fly nigga. Slick talking nigga. That’s right up my alley. I just think that comradery, riding with Rozay, it’ll mean that much more. I feel he’s one record away. As well as Meek Millz.”
Should the signings go through, Ross says he’s definitely going to be helping both MCs with the musical direction on their upcoming LPs. He “most definitely” wants to be hands on.

Hmmmm, that would be a heck of a way to start a label. That’s how you build up a label. He’s doing what Jay-Z is doing with Roc Nation. Not neccesarily signing any old artist but getting the pick of the litter to be on the label. Meek Mill and Wale would be huge if they signed with Rozay. I don’t see it happening. But those are smart moves for Ross. Diddy def is rubbing of on the guy, lol.
