Every generation got sumthin to say about the next generation and the new music. The new music is never as good as the previous generation’s music. Ice can just imagine what he might have said to somebody like James Brown who told him that his music was garbage back in the day and told him to eat a dick. He did apologize for that and that is respectable, cuz everybody says stuff in the heat moment. However he does have a point. Anybody can make a record sayin the same shit over and over, mix it with a popular dance for the young kids and a video if you got the right look. Soulja Boy should have shown some respect in his response instead of saying some of the stupid shit he said not only about to Ice-T, but applied to all the OG’s from the same time period. Age aint got nuthin to do with it. If you can’t handle criticism, you shouldn’t be in the public eye. Soulja Boy’s reply was hard to take seriously, because he was so childish and immature, trying to make fun of Ice T’s age, but the last part of his response was valid when he mentioned working hard and trying to make a living for his family. Grow up soulja BOY and show some RESPECT for the OG’s!

On sum real you cannot blame the end of hip-hop on one person, i personally don’t think soulja boy killed hip-hop. I think hip-hop has just evolved, I mean things change whether you like it or not. You couldn’t expect hip-hop to stay the same over all the years it’s been in existence. I think soulja boy and a lot of other artist are just contributing to that change. And I’ll be real some of the shit out nowadays is GARBAGE, but don’t blame that on the artist, blame it on the times. Back in the day niggas was real, and they had a right to be with all the injustice that black people were going through. Today people aren’t being as real because morals have changed. It’s all about money now not helping each other out and lifting each other up. So if you want hip-hop to change WE as a people have to change first. We spit what we know and learn from our surroundings. So the problem ain’t hip-hop its the world we live in. I’d like to see somebody try to change that.
