50 Cent Launches Investigation Into Chris Lighty’s Death, At The Request Of Lighty’s Mother

In many past interviews 50 Cent has repeatedly expressed his doubts about his close friend and mentor Chris Lighty actually committing suicide. He's not the only one, many others who were close to Lighty like Busta Rhymes have said that Chris Lighty isn't the type of person to do something like that. Yesterday at the request of Lighty's mother, 50 Cent has hired an investigative team to look into the incident further. In the report above, done by Lisa Evers of Fox 5, we learn Lighy’s will left most of his estate to his estranged wife Veronica, the woman with whom he allegedly argued shortly before he died. All that was needed was a little bit of doubt to spark an investigation. The question is though, will they be able to actually find anything that the cops couldn't? They've already ruled it a suicide.

Yesterday was the funeral for legendary music mogul Chris Lighty who passed away last Thursday. In attendance to pay their respects were Funkmaster Flex, Wyclef Jean, P. Hip Hop Mogul Chris Lighty Dead at 44, After Shooting Himself In The Head

Reports say Chris Lighty ended up shooting himself in the head after a heated argument with estranged wife in the Bronx. If your not familiar with Chris Lighty, he was behind the initial success of many Hip Hop artists including 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey. He was the one that advised 50 Cent on getting involved with Glaceau Energy Brands (Parent company for Vitamin Water), he brokered the multi-million dollar deal for 50 Cent. A deal that then lead to 50 Cent cashing in on his 10% stake in the company when it was acquired by Coca-Cola for 4.1 billion which netted 50 Cent between $60 million and $100 million. That's just one of the many contributions Chris Lighty has made to the world of Hip Hop. It's unexpected that guy of his character and stature would be driven to kill himself.
