“I definitely sat down and spoke with Eminem about working and we agreed to get in the studio and see what we could do. He’s one of the best, I want to work with one of the best and try and give some music contributions. I think that would be one of the next steps in that lineage of what I’m trying to do.”

No I.D. is one hell of a producer, I have no doubt that whatever he and Eminem cook up in the studio will be dope.

Dr. Dre Tops The Forbes List Of 20 Hip-Hop Cash Kings For 2012

1. Dr. Dre @ $110 million

Dr. Dre tops the list this year mostly due to his Beats By Dre headphones, but there's also the fact that he has stake in the careers of Emineem and 50 Cent plus a very profitable catalog of music. He's also the only artist other than 50 Cent to make over $100 million in a single year.

2. Diddy @ $45 million

Diddy comes in second as he continues pull in huge profits from his stake the Ciroc Vodka brand, in October 2007 Diddy agreed to help develop the Ciroc vodka brand for a 50 per cent share of the profits. He became a brand ambassador for the product. The product has had huge commercial success and is synonymous with Hip Hop culture, often affiliated with terms like "Ciroc Boys" or Diddy referring to himself as Cîroc Obama. Cîroc is on pace to sell more than 2 million cases in 2012.

3. Jay-Z @ $38 million

Jay-Z continues to be the ultimate hustler, he's never fell below the 3rd position and has for many years been at the top spot. His Roc Nation label sports artists like J. Cole, Rita Ora, Willow Smith and Jahlil Beats as well as a management roster containing acts like Rihanna, Meek Mill, Wale, Melanie Fiona and Shakira just to name a few. His collaboration album Watch The Throne with Kanye West was very successful and many would even call it classic.

4. Kanye West @ $35 million

Kanye West is not too far behind his big brother Jay-Z with $35 million, His G.O..O.D Music label is the home to Big Sean, Pusha T, Common, Kid CuDi and more. His Air Yeezy sneaker line is also very successful, not to mention the Watch The Throne tour that brought in big profits for both Kanye and Jay-Z.

5. Lil Wayne @ $27 million

Lil Wayne closes out the top 5 with $27 million, allot of which is due to his latest album Tha Carter IV, which sold almost a million copies it's first week. He's finally started to branch out into non-music ventures such as DEWeezy with Mountain Dew, and Trukfit clothing line.

6. Drake @ $20.5 million

Lil Wayne's YMCMB front runner Drake stays close to Weezy with a little over $20 million. This is a big jump from last year where he tied Wiz Khalifa for the 11th spot earning $11 million. His Take Care album was very successful, selling 631,000 copies it's first week. This was then followed by a successful Club Paradise tour. He also shills for Sprite and Kodak.

7. Bryan “Birdman” Williams @ $20 million

He’s the co-founder and chief of Cash Money Records—home to listmates Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj—and adds to his coffers with other ventures including clothing and vodka. Birdman tied Wayne last year for the number 4 spot earning $15 million.

8. Nicki Minaj @ $15.5 million

I guess it's 19 Cash Kings and 1 Cash Queen, performances at the Super Bowl and the Grammys helped raise her profile while a new album, extensive touring and endorsements with Pepsi and others lined her pocketbook. I might be wrong but I think Nicki Minaj is the only female to ever make Hip-Hop Cash Kings list.

9. Eminem @ $15 million

Sometimes music is enough. Eminem sold more albums last decade than any artist in the world, and continues to cash in from his extensive back catalog and occasional tour dates.

10. Ludacris @ $12 million

The multihyphenate mogul’s non-musical ventures include Conjure cognac, headphone line Soul, voiceovers for RadioShack and roles in movies such as Fast Five and New Year’s Eve.

11. Pitbull @ $9.5 million

The self-proclaimed "Mr. International" has been making money all around the world, pulling in millions from touring, record sales and endorsements with the likes of Kodak and Dr. Pepper.

12. Rick Ross & Wiz Khalifa @ $9 million (tied)

The portly Maybach Music Group boss banks big bucks from concerts, record sales and his aforementioned label.

13. Wiz Khalifa @ $9 million (tied)

After exploding onto the mainstream scene in recent years, the Pittsburgh-bred rapper has continued to milk his image as an herbal enthusiast, helping him to healthy merch and album sales. He's managed to stay high on the list despite not releasing a second album yet.

14. Snoop Lion @ $8.5 million

The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg is in the midst of a rebirth as a reggae artist -- and continues to rake in cash from a wide range of activities including album sales, touring and endorsements.

15. 50 Cent @ $7.5 million

Though the onetime top Cash King has fallen from his VitaminWater-fueled peak, he still collects cash from sales of his music, as well as G-Unit clothes and video games, SMS headphones and energy shot Street King.

16. Swizz Beatz ($7 million, tie)

Though he's still not as well-known as his wife, Alicia Keys, the multifaceted Swizz Beatz has been cashing in on production credits and deals with the likes of Lotus and Reebok.

17. Pharrell Williams ($7 million, tie)

The sweet-singing superproducer continues to earn big, thanks in part to new liqueur line Qream and his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line, which partnered with Rocawear last year.

18. Young Jeezy ($7 million, tie)

His recent album, Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition, has sold more than 500,000 copies since its December release; Jeezy adds to his coffers with touring and a clothing line.

19. Mac Miller @ $6.5 million

Not yet old enough to legally drink, the youthful emcee makes his Cash Kings debut on the strength of a rigorous touring schedule and the first indie record to top the Billboard charts in over a decade.

20. Akon, Timbaland & Tech N9ne @ $6 million (tied)

His latest album is still on hold, but the Senegalese singer continues to collect cash from a range of ventures including touring, production, a record label, a clothing line and a rumored diamond mine in Africa.

20. Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley ($6 million, tie)

The portly producer makes the Cash Kings list for the sixth year in a row, pulling in proceeds from a lengthy pack catalog, new production credits and liqueur LeSutra.

20. Aaron "Tech N9ne" Yates ($6 million, tie)

Though not well-known to mainstream music fans, this midwestern emcee racked up nearly 200 tour dates this year and earns big from releases on his indie label, Strange Music.

Giving the history between Eminem & Royce Da 5'9", the fact that they now have a joint EP dropping in June isn't surprising if anything it's long overdue. Though I must say after the beef Em, D12 and Royce went through a few years ago, I didn't think it would all come together like this. That's Hip Hop for you. Says Em about the project:

“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.”

Says Royce:

“I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’ that will be the Slaughterhouse album. #TeamShady”

The EP is set for a June 14th release and will feature production from DJ Khalil, Havoc, Mr. Porter, Bangladesh and others.

Eminem, Slaughterhouse & YelaWolf cover the March issue of XXL magazine, where Slaughterhouse & YelaWolf speak on joining the Shady Records roster.

“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” says Eminem. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”

What YelaWolf had to say about signing:

“Considering where I’m from and the shit I’ve been through, it’s hard to put into words what partnering with Shady means to me, my team at Ghet-O-Vision, and my state of Alabama. I can tell you that when you’re willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great. My experience with Rihanna's music is hypocritical to say the least, I've gone from thinking she has no talent to now considering her to be one of the best R&B/Pop artist out. Not only does she have talent, but her singing has improved substantially and she's displayed that she has the ability give her varied fans the type of music they are looking for. She serves up a Pop/Dance/House sounding record like "Only Girl (In The World)" to the more commercial audience, then switches gears to serve her R&B/Hip Hop fans with a record like "What's My Name?" with raps raining champ Drake. She then gets get a little gully (chuckle) going back to her roots on the Reggae sounding "Man Down" record to keep her original West Indian audience satisfied the same way she did with "Rude Boy" on Rated R. On my iTunes, I have a playlist called "My Sh*T" that only certain songs throughout the years have the privilege of being added to, I'm talking about the likes of Jay-Z, Eminem, Michael Jackson etc. Rihanna is one of the few female R&B artists to make it to this playlist. Songs like "Only Girl" and "What's My Name?" are always in constant rotation on that list, despite the fact that the radio always plays them. Of course you all know I'm a Hip Hop dude so songs like "Cheers," "Fading" and "California King Bed" aren't really my type of joints, and I'm not checking for those when I'm looking to hear some R&B. On the other hand though the album does have special moments with songs like "What's My Name?," "Only Girl (In The World)," "Raining Men," and "Love The Way You Lie (Part II)." These songs are loved by most whether or not you like the artist or genre. Although many of the songs have a up beat and fun sound to them, the overall theme to the album is sex. Just go through the lyrics, from out right being excited by chains and whips on "S&M" to wanting a boy to go down town on "What's My Name?," Ri Ri is being clear about what she's down for at this time in her life. Rihanna is all grown up now and she wants everyone to know it. I think this is Rihanna's best work thus far, though some might consider Rated R her effort. I give Loud 4/5. Nicki Minaj Teams Up With Eminem On Her New Album

Eminem has been revealed as a guest performer on Nicki Minaj’s upcoming Pink Friday album. Two of hip hop’s most infamous alter egos, Em’s ‘Slim Shady’ and Minaj’s ‘Roman Zolanski,’ will trade bars on the track “Roman’s Revenge.”

Minaj also revealed that Drake will be appearing on the album during a Ustream session earlier this week. The femcee said that their collaboration one of her favorites.

There have been reports from Mack Maine, Young Money CEO, that Minaj is anxious about her first week sales not living up to expectations. “She was worrying about first week. She was like, ‘Drake sold [463,000]. What you think I’ma sell? As if she gon’ sell less,” recalled Maine. “I explained to her, ‘You know a lot of the press and the media really got it brainwashed with first week sales.’”

Pink Friday drops November 22nd.

According to hitsdailydouble.com, Eminem’s Recovery is projected to have sold anywhere between 320-340k, putting Em at the #1 spot for the second week in a row, and putting him over the platinum mark. The controversial hip hop veteran has recaptured his platinum touch after a successful return to recording in 2009.

Other projections for the week include Drake’s Thank Me Later at 115-125k, as well as The-Dream’s Love King at 55-60k. The Roots at 21-24k, and Usher at approximately the same figures.

Eminem’s Recovery Album Moves 741,000 Units In It’s First Week

Eminem’s Recovery moved 741,000 units according to Billboard. This will be his 6th straight #1 album.

“Recovery’s” debut week sales surpasses the first week of Eminem’s last set, “Relapse,” which began at No. 1 in 2009 with 608,000. It also beats the opening of 2005’s “Curtain Call: The Hits” which entered at No. 1 with 441,000 in 2005. Eminem’s new album also wows digitally, as downloads made up 255,000 of its first week. That’s the second-biggest digital week for an album in history. Only Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends” notched a larger frame, when it debuted with 288,000 downloads in the summer of 2008.

No fan base as loyal as Eminem's, I'm one of the 741,000 people that copped the album and he did that despite the leak. That last relapse CD was eh but this Recovery joint is fire. "Wayne did a millie, 50 did a millie, Ye too, but what Em did was silly, the white boy blossomed after Dre endorsed him, his flow on Renegade, f-cking awesome, Applaud him."

Some of you were already discussing the verse from Talkin To Myself, where he basically said he was planning on going at Kanye and Weezy.

“I thought, ‘Man, I can do that shit. He ain’t that dope,’” Em said. “I’m hearing this dude say some clever, witty shit and I’m not doing it, so I feel fucked up.” Em ultimately opted not to release the unnamed dis track. “It would have been career suicide,” he said. “They would have fuckin’ murdered me.”

He might be overestimating Lil Wayne a little bit but either way it would have been lame for Eminem to diss him or Kanye for no reason. Em has always been the underdog it wouldn’t be like him to just go at somebody without being attacked first.

When you read things about Michael Jackson it’s hard to decipher what the fuck is true, but there’s the story of how he woke up at whatever time and he needed something to go back to sleep because he had this or that and it didn’t work. That’s exactly what used to happen to me: I would take a couple of pills and I would be up an hour later and I’d want more. Then I’d take more and that would be enough to maybe get me back to sleep for two more hours. Then I’d be wide awake again. So I definitely can relate, and it’s a shame if he didn’t have anybody there to just say, “Michael, you’re an addict, you need help.” It’s one of the pitfalls of fame. I could just say, “Yo, I need this and this and this,” and they’re going to give me whatever I want because— —because you’re Eminem. Eminem: Exactly, it’s fucked up. DJ Whoo Kid Says Eminem Is More “Maniacal” On Relapse 2

“The comeback is crazy,” Whoo Kid said about Em’s return in May with Relapse. “What I really laughed at was the Mariah Carey [dis record]. That was funny. But that’s nothing compared to Relapse 2. What I heard, that’s just 2 percent [of the intensity]. Eminem from back in the day has returned. The crazy, lyrical, maniacal Eminem is back. Maniac!”

Whoo Kid said the difference between Relapse and Relapse 2 is the level of insanity.

“He was maniacal, but that was like, ‘Let me come back now. Let me get my sh– situated. Who I gotta go at? Let me see what’s going on. Let me get comfortable.’ Now that he’s comfortable, now he’s gonna be like [a monster] in Relapse 2. Good luck, people.”

Whoo Kid also had Lloyd Banks on his radio show this past weekend, and the Punch Line King told him to expect a double mixtape dropping soon.

Now if you are a member of our Facebook fan page (witch you should be) then you should already be aware of the news that this song was in the works, similar to Money 2 Blow this song is also a remake from a song that was on Heartbreak Drake Pt 1. The original only had Drake, Lil Wayne and and someone else who’s name escapes me at the moment, this version has the new verses from Drake, Lil Wayne, plus Kanye West and Eminem have been added to the roster which is far more epic than having someone on it who’s name I can’t remember.

You know your a hot artist when people are already remaking songs you already put out on mixtapes and repackaging them as singles, the kid didn’t even drop an album yet. In all honesty though I much prefer Lil Wayne and Drake’s original verses.

And yeah Eminem bodied this shit.

With 40 percent of the votes thus far, he’s pulled ahead of Joe Budden and 50 Cent, who had been the leading vote getters in the weeks since we opened the poll. Now that those votes are being factored into this year’s official list, it seems fans are aware that the stakes are higher.

These tracks are older than most of you who visit this site, these previously unreleased tracks from Em's early 90’s partnership with Chaos Kid under the name Soul Intent. On Kid Chaos myspace it says that the two worked together from 1988 - 1992 along with a producer by the name of Manix. Man I was only 4 when these tracks were being made, you can definitly hear Big Daddy Kane in Em's style who happen to be one of his biggest influences in Hip Hop. I almost couldn't tell the difference between Em and Chaos on these records, but if you listen to Chaos it's like the 90s never left. Eminem is looking like Snow in that picture anf the hair is hilarious, he's sure come along way. Eminem’s Return To Rap With Relpase Debuts Number 1 With 608k Units Sold

Eminem’s newest album Relapse debuts number with 608,000 sold in its first week, it the biggest numbers so far this year, This is his 5th number one album and between his sex albums Em has sold over 34 million in the U.S., making him the biggest selling hip-hop act in the SoundScan era (1991-present). Method Man & Redman sold 63k while Busta Rhymes debuted with 59k records sold. The margin between the 3 artist most certainly displays who’s buying albums and who isn’t.

I’m a bit surprised by the numbers, I didn’t expect the album to perform this well being that apart from Crack A Bottle, he didn’t have any hit records which goes to show you that Eminem’s past work and legacy is still influencing today sales.

So as I continued to semi enjoy Marshall’s rhyme scheme and flow, I mean let’s be honest dude used to be incredible. He was a witty lyrist with dope delivery and timing. Some even say, one of the best to ever do it. I had nothing but respect for this dude. But all of a sudden I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, “This is his new shit??? Wow, that’s too bad…” Then I felt sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past. Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from 8 years ago! He even describes his desperate lameness in this bad excuse for storytelling track. That’s some real middle school shit right there! (What type of grown ass man lies about getting with a chick) Only Slim Lamey! LOL! Even though most people don’t know that I’m nice in the ring and have been training in boxing and Martial Arts for years that would just be childish and silly of me to bully this dude. He clearly has been picked on all his life and I would hate to add to his deep-rooted pain. As we all know he has had a hard life and has major insecurity issues and is very confused and unhappy with himself. So a guy like that doesn’t really need another ass whoopin, he needs a hug.
