While in his hometown yesterday, he elaborated on a comment he made to DJ Envy last week in New York during an interview on Envy’s satellite radio show. Ross said he was done with 50 Cent and may turn his focus to Eminem.

Speaking to MTV News, Ricky explained whether he meant competing with Slim Shady in rhyme battles or just making hit records.

“I mean, I’m a fan of Eminem,” he said. “I’m a fan first and foremost. But after defeating Curly, my confidence is at an all-time high. Maybe before I wouldn’t have challenged him, but I’m contemplating it now. The game is commending me for my victory. That’s all I wanted to do was … punish the opposition. I think I’ve done a great job and I’m gonna continue to do that.”

“I think he’s a bigger and better artist than what Curly is,” Ross said. “So if I was looking to fulfill that excitement or that rush, that’s who I have to address.”

Maybe instead of a few rounds of Rick Ross versus Eminem, we may see a Rick Ross and Eminem collaboration — the Bawse also says he wants to guest star on Em’s upcoming Relapse LP.

“I’m trying to be a part of that,” Ross said. “It’s either way. We gonna see each other one way or another.”

Good luck with that Ricky…..And why does it take a half hour for Ross to get his thoughts together and answer a question? lol.

What’s it been a day since the video dropped? This guy just can’t keep his nose out of the Hip Hop Culture, which according to him is the lowest form of entertaining. Relapse (Interscope/Aftermath/Shady) will be released on May 19, 2009. The first single from the album and its accompanying video will see a simultaneous release on April 7th. Anticipation for Relapse has been building since the fall, when Eminem first announced the album title and debuted the freestyle, "I'm Having A Relapse," during an interview on his Shade 45 satellite radio station. At the point I don’t even know if I even care about the album anymore. But for those of you who a still looking forward to it you can blame Em for it’s latest delay.

I’ll tell you about Eminem. We only tried to put him out this year to replace Dr. Dre, but we got into a quagmire. Eminem was always coming next year. But what happened was, I lost Dr. Dre to Eminem. Dre had to stop making his album to finish Eminem’s album. Eminem hit a streak, and when a guy like Eminem gets on fire, you stop everything. That’s how we lost Dre.

So what’s the status of Dre’s record?

Dre’s going back in in January. He’ll be finished with Eminem by then, and he’ll finish his album.

TMZ reports that Marshall was hospitalized over the weekend.

Eminem ’s publicist told TMZ: “Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor’s care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home.”

Damn Eminem was just on Shade 45 SAte Radio last Sunday on a new show they were bringing to the station and he sounded perfectly healthy, hopefully he gets better so he can get back to making that music we love him for.
