Kanye West Could Be Joining The “Anchorman 2″ Cast

Anchorman 2 (or Anchorman: The Legend Continue) has been one of the biggest comedy films set for later this year and having one of the biggest casts ever assmebled. Among those starring in the movie will be Kristen Wiig, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Meagan Good, Vince Vaughn, and yes Will Ferrell back as the hilarious “Ron Burgundy” to name a few. One of the secret members of the cast, Kanye West was spotted on a downtown Atlanta rooftop on set filming with Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd for a big fight scene. No other details have surfaced regarding his exact role in the movie, but we can expect to find out more in the coming months leading up to its December 2013 release. In related music news, Kanye’s gearing up for his SNL season finale performance gig, which we’re expecting to hear his first official single with Gunplay before the weeks end. His sixth studio album (which has no title at the moment) has also officialy been announced for a June 18th release date which Chief Keef, Travi$ Scott, King L and Pusha Ton to name a few. Keep an eye out for new Ye material to pop up.

Kid Cudi Announces He’s Leaving G.O.O.D. Music

Cleveland rapper Kid Cudi announced today on Power 106 that he's ending his nearly 5-year relationship with G.O.O.D. Music. Unlike a lot of other artists who leave their labels, Cudder has absolutely no beef with Kanye or anybody else. He cited his reason for leaving as essentially desiring to start on a new path. Cudi's forthcoming album "Indicud" is being released April 23. Check out what he had to say in the video above. Complex reached out to Def Jam to get the official word on Cudi's departure, and they responded by saying, "G.O.O.D. Music supports Kid Cudi's decision to leave the label."

The first night of Kanye West at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City, NJ brought on an expansive new production. The second night produced a Grammy rant from the Grammy winning rapper. The third and final night of West's Atlantic City concert residency? An announcement from West that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian is pregnant with his baby. That's right, a Kimye baby is on its way. “Stop the music and make noise for my baby mama,” West yelled to audience during his Dec. 30 concert. The news quickly spread on Twitter, after audience members tweeted the news. A photo of Kim being hugged by her mother Kris Jenner, after Kanye broke the news, also surfaced. Adult Film Site Offers To Pay $5 Million For Kanye West’s Tape

Canadian based adult site, Sex.com really wants to get their hands on that alleged Kanye West X-rated tape, so much that they've offered to pay a whopping $5 million for Kanye's not one but two sex tapes. Sex.com released this official statement regarding their high stakes bid on the X-rated videos, as well as what Kanye's sex tapes represent aside from just being ordinary sex videos:

"By purchasing both tapes, Sex.com will bolster a Celebrity section like no other free, adult entertainment website. Upon purchase, Sex.com will exclusively host both videos for free in the Celebrity section and then begin packaging the sex-tapes together for a DVD release. "Sex.com sees Mr. West as much more than a rapper. He is a cultural icon, responsible for setting trends in music and fashion. Sex.com feels that these sex-tapes are not only an exclusive look into the star's intimate life but could also contain the same Midas touch Mr. West brings to all his projects."

It's my understanding that you can't actually buy something that you are aware of is stolen so exactly who are they really offering this money to? It's not like Sex.com the sell actually sell the video without Kanye West's since he's already declared it stolen. Or am I mistaken? Please let me know.

Pusha T: “I’m the Sole Reason Kanye Knows Chief Keef’s Music”

You may remember earlier in the year when Kanye West and G.O.O.D Music remixed Chief Keef's breakout single "I Don't Like," it was the ultimate co-sign for the young Chicago MC, even though Chief Keef doesn't feel like Kanye West helped the record at all. G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T says he's the reason Kanye added some vocals to "I Don't Like".

"First of all, I am solely the reason that there's a Chief Keef remix on [Cruel Summer]," Pusha insisted. I saw him on WorldStar. I never click Worldstar rappers but the [video] picture for some reason drew me. It was for '3 Hunna.' So I clicked on it and I called [manager Steven] Victor and I said 'Victor I want to sign this kid. Go online and check this kid out. It's authentic.'"

Pusha T was sold on Chief Keef because of his originality and authenticity. "That's what I like about him. This isn't Nas at 16." Pusha T's manager Steven Victor didn't believe Pusha T was serious and thus the deal never took place. Keef ultimately signed to Interscope Records. So your telling me Chief Keef could have been under the G.O.O.D Music roster? Nah I don't think that would have worked out.

Well as it turns out TMZ has uncovered that Ye doesn't just have one sex tape being shopped around, but TWO! Yup, 2 X-rated videos were stolen from Kanye's computer, adding insult to injury, it's with 2 different women. I wonder if they're both Kim Kardashian look-alikes? It's being reported that the first tape lasts 20 minutes while the second one lasted over 40 minutes with no breaks. TMZ said both tapes were shot years ago. Kanye is pissed about the videos getting stolen and will be seeking legal action against those responsible for selling the video to whichever adult video industry pays the highest for the footage. Kanye West Sex Tape Does In fact Exist, His Lawyer Demands Take Down of Images

On Saturday we reported on the possible existence of a Kanye West sex tape and now apparently it just might true. It's been reported that Kanye West is loosing his sh*t over the situation and is trying to do anything to make sure the tape doesn't see the light of day. A law firm representing Kanye West has issued a takedown notice, surrounding controversial images stemming from a sex tape being shopped to various media outlets, from an anonymous source. We haven't received a take down notice yet, but I'm sure it's on it's way, so far they've already contacted AllHipHop.com, so I'm sure we're on the list and will eventually be contact while they're making their rounds. In a legal document to AllHipHop.com Lisa M. Buckley of Pryor Cashman says:

“Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer,”

She also added:

“Your posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the stolen Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity,”

She also warned numerous social media outlets about posting the screenshot from the video:

“We hereby demand that you: (1) immediately cease and desist from posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and disseminating the illegally obtained Screen Shot of Mr. West,”

Yeezy's team is definitely going hard to take down any trace of the image and they are also doing overtime to track down the person behind shopping the tape around. The Pinterest of adult entertainment Sex.com has has already reportedly offered $1 million to the anonymous seller. Steve Hirsch, the big guy over at Vivid Videos who released Kim Kardasian's tape says Kanye's tape could be the most valuable ever sold on the market:

“It depends on the quality of the tape, the length, the lighting, the sex,” Hirsch said. “But something like this could go for a couple of million dollars. I don’t think there has ever been a sex tape with a star of this magnitude. Tommy Lee was big, but this is a different world and Kanye is a special guy. He’s everywhere.”

It might be too little too late for damage control, that tape will most likely see the light of day. And in the end it might be Kanye West who allows it to get out, someone will make an offer that he'll not refuse. Read more at AllHipHop

On Twitter Roscoe finished off his rant by posting instagram photo evidence, that he in fact did make contributions to Kanye West's intro track "To The World" featuring R. Kelly from the Cruel Summer album. In addition he provided evidence that he also had a role in the making of Lotus Flower Bomb," which features Miguel. Oh boy, this Kanye West and Kim Kardashian union is going sideways real fast. Apparently Kanye and Kim have more in common than we thought, because has a se* tape too. RadarOnline.com (saw the tape in full) reports that a 20 minute tape of Kanye West and a Kim K look-alike is being shopped around. At the beginning of the video the female clearly states that she's 18 years old. She further tells Kanye West that:

"My husband and I don't have sex anymore… that's why I'm here!"

Wow! A porn insider tells the gossip site:

"The se* tape is being shopped right now and there's a lot of interest, but Kanye is freaking out!" the insider revealed. "He doesn't want this tape out and will do anything to make sure it stays private. If this were to hit the market it would be worth a fortune… there would definitely be a lot of people wanting to see this! "In my expert opinion Kanye's performance far outweighs Kim's!"

Ironically, Kanye has been rapping about Kim K having a tape (and becoming famous from it) on the track Clique from the Cruel Summer album, plus Kanye has mentioned it elsewhere as well. Kim's mom is not happy with Kanye talking about her daughters past, well now if this is actually true she will have something to fire back with. It's so crazy that the girl is actually a Kim Kardashian look-alike, I guess reports that he was obsessed with her long before they were dating might be true. He even said that he would put on Kim K's tape while smashing other girls. This whole thing sounds like a bad movie, if this comes to fruition, all I have to say is.... Kanye WTF?

G.O.O.D. Music – Cruel Summer

The G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer ship has landed. This album had the world on the edge waiting for it's release, making it one of the most anticipated albums of the year. So where do we start with this Cruel Summer album? I guess we should do singles first.

"Mercy" (Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz)

This is single that set everything off, this was first preceded by 2 Chainz having allot of hype around him after releasing a successful mixtape that brought us a slew of singles, followed by features with every single artist you can think of, even Justin Bieber. Then rumors started circulating that he was joining G.O.O.D. Music, which made things even more exciting. Then Mercy hits the web and it was an instant hit, the fans just gravitated towards it. Shortly after it started to climb the charts, which eventually lead to the single selling over 1 million copies, making it the first certified platinum single from the album. It was a great way to start the album run.

"Cold" (Kanye West and DJ Khaled)

This single went through a few transformations, it was originally called "Theraflu," and then "Way Too Cold" before it finally became "Cold" featuring DJ Khaled with some ad-lib assistance. This one wasn't without it's share of controversy, the first thing that sparked discussion on Twitter, Facebook and the web was when Kanye mentioned his current girlfriend Kim Kardashian, his ex Amber Rose and her man Wiz Khalifa (Now a baby father) all in the same bar: "And the whole industry want to fuck your old chick Only nigga I got respect for is Wiz And I'll admit, I had fell in love with Kim Around the same time she had fell in love with him" Many thought that was a shot at Wiz at first, to which Wiz responded:

"I've gone a long time without anybody actually saying my name out loud like that. It wasn't a bad thing. It was just the fact that it was my name. That's my name. it was wild, it was wild, but nothing negative. Everybody got positive from it, so it's positive."

That was the end of that. The single also became the topic of discussion on a episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" "Cold" was a radio favorite and I'm surprised the Hit-Boy produced track didn't also sell a million copies. The track also had a partial music video at the end of DJ Khaled's "I Wish You Would" music video.

"New God Flow" (Kanye West, Pusha T and Ghostface Killah)

Maaaaan, this track right here n*gga, this track right here is called def n*gga. Without a doubt one of my favorite records from the Cruel Summer album. This "New God Flow" record is very much a Pusha T track that features Kanye West. This track comes after 2 very hot releases from Pusha T that created allot of excitement for him and his solo project. The first track was "Exodus 23:1" (Exodus 23:1 music video) which was alledgely a diss record going at Drake to which Lil Wayne responded with Ghoulish (very weak), and the second track was In The Ho (Lambo) (feat. Swizz Beatz), and that one is a banger. By the time "New God Flow" was released, fans had already had a new found interest in Pusha T's music and Pusha had new found energy to make music which really came across on this track, it started off epic.

"I believe there’s a god above me, I’m just the god of everything else, I put holes in everything else, New God Flow, fuck everything else!"

The original release didn't feature the Ghostface Killah verse, but it was a great addition to an already good song. All in all this is a very dope record which is in my opinion one of the best tracks on the album.

"Clique" (Kanye West, Jay-Z and Big Sean)

This was one of the most highly anticipated collaborations from album, though it wasn't as epic as previous releases it was a solid record and another one that will live on the radio. It's yet another Hit-Boy produced record alongside Kanye West with the Co-producer credit. The verse from Jay was decent but Kaye and Big Sean held it down more on this one I think. The most standout lyrics from this track was when Kanye West once again decided to name drop his girlfriend Kim Kardashian:

"Break records at Louie, ate breakfast at Gucci My girl a superstar all from a home movie"

Other Tracks From The Album

"To the World" (Kanye West and R. Kelly) Could have done without R. Kelly on this one, the track is OK but nothing special, feels like a filler and definitely shouldn't have been the intro track. "The Morning" (Raekwon, Pusha T, Common, 2 Chainz, Cyhi the Prynce, Kid Cudi and D'banj) This record is dope, legit rider music. I like the fact the track before this one "New God Flow" ended with Ghostface Killah and then this one started off with Raekwon, keeping the Wu-Tang theme going. All the verses on this one were solid, I was mostly impressed by Cyhi the Prynce's verse though. "Higher" (The-Dream, Pusha T, Mase and Cocaine 80s) With a line-up like this you'd think you would be getting something interesting but it was a bit of a underachiever. With the exception of Pusha's verse, gonna have to file this one under filler as well. "Sin City" (John Legend, Travis Scott, Teyana Taylor, Cyhi the Prynce and Malik Yusef) Not necessarily a hot record but I like this one and the beat bangs. It's acceptable, enjoyed Teyana Taylor and John Legend on this one. "The One" (Kanye West, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Marsha Ambrosius) Didn't know how I felt about this record at first but after hearing a few times, it's pretty tough, and I love Marsha Ambrosius on this one, her style was so raw on the chorus. This one is play worthy. "Creepers" (Kid Cudi) I know Cudi is a alternative style Hip Hop artist and even though I don't really fux with most of his music too much, I do understand why his fans like him and think he's dope. That aside I felt like this track doesn't belong on the album. Yeah I know, it's a G.O.O.D. Music album and each of them deserve air time. It's not a filler, but it just doesn't belong. Cool beat though. "Bliss" (John Legend and Teyana Taylor) I love Teyana Taylor and if this is the only way I'm going to get new music from her at the moment, I'll take it. This is a good R&B joint from John Legend and Teyana Taylor for adding some balance to the album. "Don't Like" (Kanye West, Chief Keef, Pusha T, Big Sean and Jadakiss) This is not a filler but it sure is a addon, if this Chief Keef record didn't become anything special, this remix would've never made the album since it wouldn't exist. In the context of Cruel Summer I can't even rate this record since it's not really their record. Beyond that it's a good remix but I've had with this beat, and If I never see another "Don't Like" freestyle, it will be too soon. Big Sean and Pusha T had the best verses.....Nope sorry Jadakiss verse was the hardest.

In Conclusion

Group albums are always iffy, I'm not talking about albums released by groups that are actually groups like a Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang, Slaughterhouse etc. I'm talking a major artist like Kanye West releasing an album presenting all the artists on his label, the same way Lil Wayne did with Young Money, or 50 Cent with G-Unit (that first G-Unit album was fire). Separately allot of these artists are great and already established and are great by themselves but when you put them together it actually diminishes their individual value. This is what usually happens, and unfortunately this Kanye West presented Cruel Summer project doesn't break the cycle. Even though they're some special moments on this project, overall it's a OK album. I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Thoughts on this album.

Dr. Dre Tops The Forbes List Of 20 Hip-Hop Cash Kings For 2012

1. Dr. Dre @ $110 million

Dr. Dre tops the list this year mostly due to his Beats By Dre headphones, but there's also the fact that he has stake in the careers of Emineem and 50 Cent plus a very profitable catalog of music. He's also the only artist other than 50 Cent to make over $100 million in a single year.

2. Diddy @ $45 million

Diddy comes in second as he continues pull in huge profits from his stake the Ciroc Vodka brand, in October 2007 Diddy agreed to help develop the Ciroc vodka brand for a 50 per cent share of the profits. He became a brand ambassador for the product. The product has had huge commercial success and is synonymous with Hip Hop culture, often affiliated with terms like "Ciroc Boys" or Diddy referring to himself as Cîroc Obama. Cîroc is on pace to sell more than 2 million cases in 2012.

3. Jay-Z @ $38 million

Jay-Z continues to be the ultimate hustler, he's never fell below the 3rd position and has for many years been at the top spot. His Roc Nation label sports artists like J. Cole, Rita Ora, Willow Smith and Jahlil Beats as well as a management roster containing acts like Rihanna, Meek Mill, Wale, Melanie Fiona and Shakira just to name a few. His collaboration album Watch The Throne with Kanye West was very successful and many would even call it classic.

4. Kanye West @ $35 million

Kanye West is not too far behind his big brother Jay-Z with $35 million, His G.O..O.D Music label is the home to Big Sean, Pusha T, Common, Kid CuDi and more. His Air Yeezy sneaker line is also very successful, not to mention the Watch The Throne tour that brought in big profits for both Kanye and Jay-Z.

5. Lil Wayne @ $27 million

Lil Wayne closes out the top 5 with $27 million, allot of which is due to his latest album Tha Carter IV, which sold almost a million copies it's first week. He's finally started to branch out into non-music ventures such as DEWeezy with Mountain Dew, and Trukfit clothing line.

6. Drake @ $20.5 million

Lil Wayne's YMCMB front runner Drake stays close to Weezy with a little over $20 million. This is a big jump from last year where he tied Wiz Khalifa for the 11th spot earning $11 million. His Take Care album was very successful, selling 631,000 copies it's first week. This was then followed by a successful Club Paradise tour. He also shills for Sprite and Kodak.

7. Bryan “Birdman” Williams @ $20 million

He’s the co-founder and chief of Cash Money Records—home to listmates Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj—and adds to his coffers with other ventures including clothing and vodka. Birdman tied Wayne last year for the number 4 spot earning $15 million.

8. Nicki Minaj @ $15.5 million

I guess it's 19 Cash Kings and 1 Cash Queen, performances at the Super Bowl and the Grammys helped raise her profile while a new album, extensive touring and endorsements with Pepsi and others lined her pocketbook. I might be wrong but I think Nicki Minaj is the only female to ever make Hip-Hop Cash Kings list.

9. Eminem @ $15 million

Sometimes music is enough. Eminem sold more albums last decade than any artist in the world, and continues to cash in from his extensive back catalog and occasional tour dates.

10. Ludacris @ $12 million

The multihyphenate mogul’s non-musical ventures include Conjure cognac, headphone line Soul, voiceovers for RadioShack and roles in movies such as Fast Five and New Year’s Eve.

11. Pitbull @ $9.5 million

The self-proclaimed "Mr. International" has been making money all around the world, pulling in millions from touring, record sales and endorsements with the likes of Kodak and Dr. Pepper.

12. Rick Ross & Wiz Khalifa @ $9 million (tied)

The portly Maybach Music Group boss banks big bucks from concerts, record sales and his aforementioned label.

13. Wiz Khalifa @ $9 million (tied)

After exploding onto the mainstream scene in recent years, the Pittsburgh-bred rapper has continued to milk his image as an herbal enthusiast, helping him to healthy merch and album sales. He's managed to stay high on the list despite not releasing a second album yet.

14. Snoop Lion @ $8.5 million

The artist formerly known as Snoop Dogg is in the midst of a rebirth as a reggae artist -- and continues to rake in cash from a wide range of activities including album sales, touring and endorsements.

15. 50 Cent @ $7.5 million

Though the onetime top Cash King has fallen from his VitaminWater-fueled peak, he still collects cash from sales of his music, as well as G-Unit clothes and video games, SMS headphones and energy shot Street King.

16. Swizz Beatz ($7 million, tie)

Though he's still not as well-known as his wife, Alicia Keys, the multifaceted Swizz Beatz has been cashing in on production credits and deals with the likes of Lotus and Reebok.

17. Pharrell Williams ($7 million, tie)

The sweet-singing superproducer continues to earn big, thanks in part to new liqueur line Qream and his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line, which partnered with Rocawear last year.

18. Young Jeezy ($7 million, tie)

His recent album, Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition, has sold more than 500,000 copies since its December release; Jeezy adds to his coffers with touring and a clothing line.

Not yet old enough to legally drink, the youthful emcee makes his Cash Kings debut on the strength of a rigorous touring schedule and the first indie record to top the Billboard charts in over a decade.

Though not well-known to mainstream music fans, this midwestern emcee racked up nearly 200 tour dates this year and earns big from releases on his indie label, Strange Music.

The Andreas Nilsson directed visual starts off with 2 Chainz in a house and it's apparently somebody's birthday, a booty birthday to be exact. The house is filled with balloons, a woman covered in whip cream and a booty shape birthday cake. 2 Chainz then heads to the backyard where a BBQ/Lap Dance session is taking place. The video then makes its way out of the house into a chaotic neighborhood filled with beautiful women, clowns and midgets. Sounds just like the type of twisted world you usually find Kanye West in and now apparently 2 Chainz as well. "Birthday Song" is from 2 Chainz' Based On A TRU Story album which is in stores now.

Wiz Khalifa Responds To Kanye West Dropping His Name on The “Theraflu” Track

By now, Kanye West's "Way Too Cold" (Theraflu), has blasted on the radio and in clubs many times, so tons of people have heard it. In the song, West fires direct shots at his current girlfriend's ex, Kris Humphries, while simultaneously dropping Wiz Khalifa's name in the track, but in a respectful way. Everyone knows Wiz is now engaged to West's ex-girl Amber Rose, so people might think that Kanye would have some negative words in regards to Wiz if he were to mention him on a song. However, West clearly stated that he respects Wiz when he spit the lines: "The whole industry wanna f*ck your old chick / The only n*gga I got respect for is Wiz / And I'll admit I fell in love with Kim / Right around the same time she fell in love with him." Until recently, Wiz Khalifa has remained silent about his name being dropped in the song. But DJ Funkmaster Flex got Wiz to speak up about the song on New York City's Hot 97 radio show Monday night (4/23). Here's what Wiz had to say in response to Flex asking him if he was shocked and why he felt shocked: "Yes, because he said my name. I've gone a long time without anybody actually saying my name out loud like that. It wasn't a bad thing. It was just the fact that it was my name. After the Taylor Swift VMA fiasco Obama called Kanye a "jackass," and it seems his feelings haven't wavered much in three years. During a brief interview with David Samuels of The Atlantic Obama was asked which rapper he prefers more, Kanye or Jay-Z? He responded by saying, "Jay-Z. Although I like Kanye. He's a Chicago guy. Wow, where do I even start? OK so yes the album has broken a record set by Coldplay for the most iTunes downloads of an album during its first week of release, Otis is a pretty epic single and H.A.M had it's time in the sun. That being said I'm immensely disappointed in this album........At first, which is my own fault because I over anticipated it due to the two people who were involved. You have Jay-Z the greatest rapper alive who's last album Blueprint 3 is considered a classic and Kanye West who's recent My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album took us on a musical journey none other for 2010. We all were expecting something great, words like ground breaking, innovative, epic come to mind when we thought about what the album would sound like. When I firts listened to the album I was thinking I can't believe I only like 3 songs on the whole album, since I'm analyzing music on a day to day basis I found my self holding the album to a different standard than the average music fan would. So I took few steps back, played it a few times on the computer, iPod, and the in the whip for a couple days. After a few days of listening to the album I feel allot different about the record now, Otis is still my jam, Lift Off has grown on me, Gotta Have It, Welcome To The Jungle, Murder To Excellence and Why I Love You are all fire. I still feel like album is all over the place though as far as theme is concerned, which creatively is expected when you have two leaders attempting to lead on the same album. I appreciate the fact that they kept the features to a minimum and didn't leave all the production to Kanye. It's not a home run by any means when you consider who's involved, but for me personally I went from saying WTF is this to saying it's not that bad to now playing it at least once a day. I give it a 4/5. That might be a little biased due to the fact that I'm a super Hova fan and Kanye as well. Leave your ratings a review below. Oh yeah what's with that 3 minutes of silence on the Illest Motherf**ker Alive track? SMH!

Rihanna sure has a thing for athletics. First, she dates L.A. Dodger baseball player Matt Kemp and now she’s holding down the halftime show at the NBA All-Star game. Rocking a massive ruby red ponytail, Rihanna performed a medley of hits, starting out with “Umbrella,” then moving on to “Only Girl,” “Rude Boy,” “What’s My Name?” and “All of the Lights” featuring none other than Mr. Kanye West.Rihanna’s vocals were at times, slightly off. She seemed to fare the best on “What’s My Name.” The song had her voice in a comfortable pocket. Then again, the sound quality was subpar for the whole halftime show. But at the least, Rihanna showed she was committed to putting on a show and her choreography and dance moves were much appreciated. She just needs to keep up her intensity while dancing.Speaking of intense, how about that Kanye West?! He entered the halftime show in a billow of smoke to the triumphant horns of “All of the Lights” in a red jacket and metallic red jeans. The Red Ranger was ready to rock! Now if only he’d announce a tour.But Kanye wasn’t the only guest during RiRi’s set, though he certainly was the grandest. Drake also emerged from the crowd for a flirt action between him and Rihanna on “What’s My Name.” At this point, it’s not clear who Drake prefers to stoke relationship rumors with more: Nicki Minaj or Rihanna. Though Drizzy’s ideal would likely be to bed both.

Videos powered by ComeWatchMe.com Seemingly out of nowhere, Kanye West premieres the new video for “All Of The Lights” featuring appearances by Rihanna, Rihanna’s body, & Kid Cudi , and directed by Hype Williams. Yes, Rihanna and that top of hers may steal the video in the minds of some, but there’s much more to the vid than her scenes to fast forward to. After a little girl is seen venturing out onto her own during the interlude, the song pierces in with a flurry of flashy and colorful text displaying some credits and the lyrics. These effects were inspired by the opening credits of Gaspar Noe’s Enter The Void, which is dope to look at after a viewing of the video. Anyway, the rest of the “All Of The Lights” video contains some scenes with the artists singing their respective parts, mainly just to the camera for some up close face time. The same ‘Gaspar Noe’ effect appears at the end of the video, followed by flashing lights of color that should honestly come with a seizure warning.

Kanye West sold another 108k copies of, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” which places him above gold, while Nicki Minaj moves closer to gold with 103k records sold missing the gold mark by about 50,000 units more or less. Nicki Minaj made a bit of history with her debut. Pink Friday had the second best opening for a female rapper in the history of Billboard. Only Lauryn Hill's 1998 masterpiece The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill fared better. That classic album debut sold 423,000 in 1998--the pre-digital era. Lil Kim told Nicki Minaj not to say anything to her until her first week sales numbers come back. Well Kim she already beat you in Billboard history and now she's on her way to being certified gold, I think Nicki's action are talking doing all the talking for her. Love her or hate her, she's making moves.

T.I. – No Mercy

If there’s any argument I get into over and over again with DJBooth Nation, it’s over who has the best beard in rap (how could you not go Freeway?!?). But if there’s another argument I get into over and over, it’s the importance of context when listening to music. Should we consider only the notes pulsing through our headphones, or the whole life of the artist, in all its glories and faults? Of course I think it’s impossible to listen to music in a vacuum, and I’m right. Music exists in the world, as part of the world, and you can’t separate an album from the circumstances it was created in any more than you can separate the link between a parent and a child. Case in point; T.I.’s new album, No Mercy. To listen to No Mercy without taking into account the extraordinary situation that shaped it would be to quote Kanye, f**king ridiculous. After all, if context didn’t matter, we’d be listening to King Uncaged - the album’s original, now painfully ironic title. The last time we were discussing Clifford Harris, the pressure of an impending jail sentence created the diamond that was Paper Trail. This time around, unfortunately, Tip’s return to confinement has yielded far more uneven results. Over the last few months we’ve watched No Mercy change more times than Lil Kim’s face, with songs being added and subtracted from the final tracklist on a seemingly daily basis. And then yet another arrest, and an eleven month sentence, forced the album into our hands with some very high highs, and what must be said are some disappointingly low lows. If T.I. had all the time he needed I think we’d be looking at a classic album, but that’s the thing about context. “If” can be everything. If all you ever listened to was the album’s first track, Welcome to the World, you have to assume it was five-spin candidate. Featuring both a verse and an absurdly head-nodding beat from Kanye, Welcome to the World is essentially a Good Friday track featuring T.I. absolutely going off, switching up his flow with a stuttered affect that absolutely kills. Y’all know I’m not one to engage in hyperbole, so you can trust me when I say that, Dark Twisted Fantasy aside, Welcome to the World is one of the best opening songs I’ve heard in a minute. While I don’t know if No Mercy ever gets quite that good again, the album has no shortage of similar dopeness, from the deeply autobiographical How Life Changed to the instant hip-hop history making All She Wrote, which finds Tip and Eminem going head to head over a hypnotic beat. One listen and it’s instantly clear that when these other rappers say they have swag, they really mean they’re copying T.I. Now onto those aforementioned lows. I keep reloading No Mercy hoping that Amazing will no longer appear on the tracklist, but so far, no luck. On the surface I should be putting a Neptunes and T.I. record on repeat, but Amazing is such a disorganized mess, with a minimalist beat that might be fine by lesser standards and an aggravating hook from Pharrell, that it’s frankly hard to believe it made it onto the album. And considering Rocko holds the unique distinction of having one of the lowest rated albums in hip-hip history, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was mystified by his inclusion on the otherwise knocking I Can’t Help It. Really Clifford? You could have any rapper in the world go in over this beat, and you went with Rocko? Really? And the embarrassingly basic Lay Me Down, featuring some heavily Lose Control influenced production from the usually stellar Jim Jonsin? I don’t think I even have to say it. In the grand scheme these are speed bumps in the usually fast flowing highway that is No Mercy, but great albums don’t contain mistakes like this. They just don’t. But why concentrate on the negatives, especially since we are missing the services of the King of the South? While I don’t think there’s another radio smash on the order of Live Your Life, both the Drake-assisted Poppin Bottles and the genre-melding Castle Walls have some serious hit potential, and when T.I.’s truly on, as he is on the soulfully charged Salute, he’s as good as ever. Let’s just hope that this is the time he really really changes his life. More than three years after he was arrested on weapons charges, we could all use a change of context when it comes to T.I. I'm too busy to write review for this album right now Nathan did a great job with this review and I honestly feel the same way about the album more or less. Yung Berg Claims Kanye West Stole A Beat From Him

In a Interview with Mikey T the Movie Star, Yung Berg claims Kanye West stole the beat for one of Kanye West's biggest hit "Jesus Walks." Berg says that the song was on a demo that he put together as a teenager. Says Berg:

I played Rodney [Jerkins} a lot of my records and the “Jesus Walks” beat is the same song I recorded just maybe the bass is amped up a little bit,” Yung Berg recalled. “I remember when I played [Rodney] the track and he fell asleep to Jesus Walks and they used it.

Berg Again:

I was on my Iceberg flow, on some crazy sh*t,” Yung Berg continued. “Like here I am going hard on my demo at 16-years-old and they take it and win a Grammy, congrats because it's all a part of my story.

Could be true, but the real question is do we care?

First Week Sales For Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo & Lloyd Banks

The numbers are in for all the November 22nd album releases, check the full recap of the numbers albums for Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo & Lloyd Banks. Number 1: Kanye West's 5th album, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," sold 497k records in its first week. Kanye's previous debuts were, "The College Dropout,"(441k) "Late Registration,"(860k) "Graduation,"(957k) & "808s & Heartbreak"(450k). I hated 808s & Heartbreak but this new album is great, some of his best production to date. The album even gained the infamous 5 Mics in The Source Magazine. The reviews from our readers also have the same scores as The Source. Number 2: Nicki Minaj's debut album, "Pink Friday," which had allot of mixed reviews sold 376k records in its first week of sales. Nicki Minaj's label mate Drake debuted with 447k earlier this year. With Lil Wayne's, "I Am Not A Human Being," going gold this week Lil Wayne's Young Money empire is running this right now. Is Nicki Ninaj's debut effort above or below your expectations? Number 3: Ne-Yo's, "Libra Scale," sold 112k records in its first week of sales. Ne-Yo's last album, "Year of the Gentleman," sold 250k in the first week. Number 25: Lloyd Banks sold 44,500 copies of, "Hunger For More 2," last week. His sophomore LP, Rotten Apple sold 143,000 copies it's first week and debut at number 3. His debut album and the original to the current sequel The Hunger for More opened at #1 on Billboard's albums sales chart, with week-one sales topping 433,000, and Hunger ended up spending a second-straight week at #1, selling close to 164,000 units. Judging by the reviews from our readers and reviews across web, people really enjoyed the album, much better than Rotten Apple. 45, 000 copies for a now independent artist isn't bad, plus his single Beamer, Benz and Bentley sold over 500,000 copies. Unfortunately the single was released in the 1st quarter and the album released in the 4th quarter and even though "Any Girl" and "Start It Up" were great songs they were no where close to the lead single. Thoughts on these releases?

Kanye West Covers Complex December/January Issue

The sun sets, and Q-Tip and Consequence arrive, straight from the plane. Kanye asks RZA if he’d voice the hook—”Champagne wishes and 30 white bitches/You know the shit is, fuckin’ ridic’lous”—and the Abbott steps into the booth and obliges, immediately transforming from sedate and stoned to amped and aggressive. It’s enough to make us all chuckle on his first take; wrapped around those words, his thick and bizarre drawl just sounds so perfectly…RZA. But Kanye notices something off in the delivery, and he presses the intercom button to talk to RZA: “Um, fam, it’s actually ‘thirty white bitches,’ not ‘dirty white bitches.’” RZA laughs. “I’ll do it again,” he says, “but to be real, the way I be saying words, you ain’t gon’ be able to tell the difference.” Ha! At Rap Camp, the shit is fuckin’ ridiculous. The rest of the trip settles into a fairly routine pattern, if by “fairly routine” you mean “a succession of both magical and mundane moments starring the musicians who defined your adolescence alongside the most exciting artists of today.” Each morning begins with a 10 a.m. breakfast at Kanye’s Diamondhead residence. Pusha, Tip, RZA, Cudi, Cons, and Kanye’s crew slowly assemble to enjoy the absurdly tasty cooking of Kanye’s in-house chefs. If you’re smart, you order the French toast with the flambéed banana. An hour later, Kanye pulls up in his Porsche Panamera, fresh from the studio. That’s right, from the studio. During my five days in Hawaii, Kanye never slept at his house, or even in a bed. He would, er, power-nap in a studio chair or couch here and there in 90-minute intervals, working through the night. Engineers remained behind the boards 24 hours a day.

Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album review, what can I say I love this album. I think that says it all. Although I said Hunger For More 2 is my favorite of all 3 November 22 releases, as far as production and just straight up good music is concerned, it doesn't get much better than "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." I appreciate this album especially since really hated "808s and Heartbreaks" and have been patiently waiting for him to change direction. Truth be told it feels like I've been listening to this album for more than half the year due to the G.O.O.D Friday series plus other leaks. None the less the album is well done, when I listen to songs like "Dark Fantasy," "All Of The Lights," "Monster," and "Lost In The World" words like epic and intoxicating come to mind, I'm talking about I'll sit here and play those songs at least 5 times before I move on to the next record. The production on this album is so elaborate, and that by itself garners 5/5, I'm already searching the web trying to find all the instrumentals. The records sound like they should be in a movie, which is why that short film Kanye released a month ago makes even more sense now after you listen to this album. If I go any further I might start sounding like a groupie, so I'll stop here. It's Kanye West folks, so this level of music is expected. I give it 4.5/5, leave your reviews and ratings below.

Dabble is the best word to describe what musician Kanye West is doing by directing a movie that will accompany his next album release, Dark Twisted Fantasy, which itself is part of his Good Music Fridays initiative, where he releases a new song every Friday between now and Christmas.

The 40-minute movie is called Runaway and it represents West’s first time exploring film as a medium. He recently showed the trailer for Runaway at the pre-show or the MTV Video Music Awards and it left many viewers grasping for words to explain what they had just seen.
