After reading such a sloppy, ignorant article filled with misspellings and lame ebonics, I felt the need to rebuttal. 2pac wasn’t perfect. None of us are for that matter (ex. the author’s literary failures) but his powerful voice and fascinating image were unique, ultimately solidifying him in history. As an artist, he drastically improved since his debut, but that’s expected from a novice with raw talent. You evolve. With practice and leraning experience, a person will continue to develop to their fullest potential. Musically, he was far superior than your average emcee. If you say otherwise, you’re clearly biased or simply…a mindless jerk job that should look into another hobby. Hip-Hop isn’t for you. The only song that Pac made which was undeniably sub-par, was the filler track “Whatz ya phone number”. We all can agree there! Aside from that fluke, there aren’t many songs, considering the time and place in his career, that can be labled lackluster or “wack” as some might say it. A far greater majortiy should be considered brilliant. “Death Around the Corner”, “If I Die 2nite”, “Krazy”, “Point The Finger”, “Me Against the World”, “Staring at the World Through my Rearview”, “Changes”….I can go on. Many people forget that he was barely 25 years old when he died. As we continue to mature, our perspectives will enhance throughout our lifetimes (most of ours atleast). 2pac was denied this in his untimely death. However, considering all he had accomplished in a relatively short period and how rapidly he progressed as an artist, he could have amounted to much more in life than in his self destruction.

The media and the consumers of Hip-Hop (fans) were so busy focusing on what cop he was gonna tussle with next, or which rapper he was gonna rumble with in his next song that they gravitated more with the negative side of him than they did with the messages he was trying to convey to the people.

It’s sad that people have JUST NOW realized how vital of a person he was in this industry in death.. no one realized that while he was here living. I honestly think it would of saved 2pac.

Tupac dident start blaming the East Coast after he got shot in 94′. He said Biggie was involved. He attacked Biggie, Then Biggies homies decided to get involved.
Tupac was never hating on the Eastcoast, he had nothing but love for the Eastcoast. He loved everybody, black or white.
Tupac wanted to find a way to come out 500x stronger to Biggie, without physically killing him. He succeeded in that by releasing Hit em up. I still believe to this day, Biggie had prior Knowledge of the fact Pac was about to be shot. Tupac wasent paranoid, He was inteligent and wouldent go all-out like he did for a “hunch”.

Tupac was not just a Rapper, He was a Poet, An Activist, A Revolutionizer, A Screen Writer, An Actor, A Philospher. He was Inteligent, He used his Inteligence to try and affect change.
Tupac is loved because of the issues he spoke about.
I dont denie that Tupac ALWAYS wrote songs about Struggles and Oppression. But I believe that every song he did, he did for a reason.
Weither it be Hit Em up or Changes.

Tupac inspired Millions, He gave hope to lives of tens of millions worldwide. He spoke what was on his mind, He spoke about Unjustice, Poverty and Oppression like no other rapper ever has.

Not only did he speak about it, But he got it known to hundreds of millions of people.

Tupac wasent a Gangster, He wasent down with the people who Robbed and Killed people. He was a brother fighting back.

It’s sad to see such a garbage opinion written about 2Pac. He sounds like 2Pac used to take his lunch money at school or some ish. People can argue about who’s the greatest rapper all they want. That topic is definitely debateable. You could make major arguments for about 5 or 6 people being #1 of all-time

What you CAN’T ARGUE, is that 2Pac was damn near the total package, when it came to being a rapper. He could literally do it all.

- rhyme about social issues AND make the track hot while doing it
- battle rhyme ( Hit em Up ) and/or freestyle
- rhyme about street life, and be TOTALLY believable
- sound great on either hardcore or pop-sounding tracks
- exhibit a lot of charisma while performing
- make songs that directly appealed to the women
- have great storytelling ability
- could change up his rhyme style to fit the track tempo
- had intelligent wordplay and usage
- abillity to market himself any way he wanted

2Pac did ALL OF THIS. Very few in the HISTORY OF RAP can say they did ALL of this.

So if 2Pac isn’t the greatest ( ala – the Michael Jordan or rap ), he’s at least the “Magic Johnson of rap”.

And a person would be a DAMMMED FOOL to say that Magic is overrated. The same goes for 2Pac
