Tupac – The Lost Footage

Posted by & filed under Hip Hop Beefs, Hip Hop News, Hip Hop Videos, Videos.

It’s been 13 years since 2Pac died on the 13th day of September 1996, yet the void he left in hip-hop–let alone black culture–is gaping, For his anniversary, VIBE revives the fallen icon, if just for a couple minutes, with the first in a series of previously unreleased interview footage from May ‘96. As he discusses a unified rap nation and where he’d be in 2016, ‘Pac is everything we remember: Candid, passionate, prophetic. Rest in peace, Tupac Amaru Shakur.

Here’s part 2 of VIBE’s lost interview with Pac. In this segment, recorded circa 1996, he speaks on Biggie and the Quad Studios shooting incident.

2pac is timeless. I agree, his music is still better than tha majority of shit thats out there today. I grew up listening to that westcoast gangsta shit so that may make me a little biased when i say 2PAC was tha GREATEST MC to ever pick up a mic, period!!! R.I.P PAC! WESTCOAST STAND UP!!!!!!

first of all i’m from the east coast and to me 2pac is the greatest of all time ..now i have love for the west coast but 2pac wasn’t just a westcoast nigga first of all he was born in new york and in the early days of his career he spent more time in ny then in cali but thats why he’s the greatest he was a man from both sides of hip hop and could relate to everyone not just to one coast so with that i say rest in peace to the greatest hip hop artist of all time 2pac shakur

the thing is my nigga it’s not the gansta that made you listen to pac but the motion he put see i listen to drake and what i like about him is that he’s him sure niggas is gonna say he’s soft but he’s not tryin to be tuff so what they say has no effect listen in those days madd niggaz talked about the same shit but pac stoood out cuz u felt it u kno it’s all about being gangsta my nigga but about being real to you…for example take kanye west yeah what he did was stupid this that and the fif but but you can not take away his passion for wanting to do music hip hop wasn’t based on gansta niggas it was based on freedom of expression thats what makes this music so great and 2pac is a prime example what ever he felt he wrote whether he was sad , mad, happy, watever he wrote it and expressed it that’s why he will always be the greatest..
