As you all know by now Kanye West announced his departure from Nike recently and since then he's been on a media blitz/rant tour about all his future plans.
He's in the news today again for his latest fashion venture, shortly after he announced leaving Nike, Yeezy reveals his new deal with adidas. West took to the stage on the latest stop of his “Yeezus Tour” with some harsh words for Swoosh CEO Mark Parker. During his media onslaught last week, he explained in detail his concerns with the brand and his need for royalties alongside a wider creative space. Well, it looks as of ‘Ye will get exactly that with the three stripes plus some – as reports of his deal highlight big numbers.
According to sources, Kanye West's adidas deal is worth upwards of $10 million. In comparison, Ye's previous deal with with Nike which was 10 to 20 cents on the dollar of each Air Yeezy sold – which is a fairly small number considering the two releases were very limited in numbers.
adidas upped the ante and gives Yeezy a much larger incentive, with more creative control and an apparel line to boot.
Now all that's left is for Kanye West to deliver, and he better with all the ish he's been talking.
